Over the last few months Fox Country Inn has gone from food wise from very good to dire.And as for the service it makes Fawlty Towers seem like a model of care and efficiency ,with a service second to none.
The stick model who appears to manage the place,is always walking around with a take away coffee cup with a straw stuck in it ,not exactly a good advert for their own coffee. (read more)

I experienced very slow service at the Fox Country Inn, after arriving at 12.30 pm to an empty restaurant we waited a good 10 minutes before our order was taken, along wait for our cold starter and our main course of fish and chips arrived at 1.55 pm. After one of our party departed back to work!
The starter was good but had bread not toast, the main course was heavy on fries (not chips, as I thought were offered on the main menu) and light on fish. The sausages were not cooked as much as I'd... (read more)

What a shame, went for a Christmas meal with friends, The service was shambolic to say the least, nobody seamed to know what they were doing.but when the food eventually came it was worth waiting for
the Royal Venison pie was fantastic and the rest of my party were also happy with their choices. I will go again just for the food and the floor show of the waiting staff running around like headless chickens and dropping plates. (read more)
