    Had 2 Hotpoints in 5 years, latest one broke down 2 months after 2 year warranty. Had become noisy on final spin so loud had to turn Tv up and the house felt it was vibrating.Engineer gave an honest opinion that the majority of washers in this bracket were the same.Not built to last and constantly needing repairs.Asked his opinion and said Miele without doubt.Will pay more but worth it. Had always ignored them due to the cost. Found this model for 525 and got 5 year Miele warranty,compared to Comet/John Lewis who wanted 650/699.First wash it was obvious this was top notch. Wife commented on how make up and lipstick traces had disappeared from collars even on 40 deg wash.95 deg wash for white cotton.Quality build, all metal drum,no plastic paddles to snap off.All metal door and catch.Heavy to move, metal weights not concrete that breaks off on cheaper machines.Not had to test Miele service but response to warranty register was efficient.Not being smug in any way but feel confident that this one will last and give loyal service.
