“The worst washing machine ever”

This machine has been a source of frustration an disappointment from day one. It does not produce clean clothes. The belt frequently slips off the drive especially when spinning items like towels and bed linen. My previous machine, a Zanussi, worked trouble free for over twenty years and was still in perfect order when I parted with it supposedly for a higher spec machine - worst decision I ever made. I have persevered with this washing machine for nearly 3 years and am very disappointed with it. It doesn't wash clothes properly. It leaves black marks on the clothes too so forever having to re wash the clothes. The machine never goes onto the correct cycle when asked to. At the end of the wash cycle it does not spin properly so have to put the clothes onto an extra spin, but this only works when it feels like it, usually after around 10 attempts. Have persevered with this machine for a couple of years now, bought Hoover thinking it was an elite brand but never known such a disgraceful excuse for a washing machine. It constantly leaves black marks over clothes and doesn't actually start the programme when ordered to, some days it can take me hours returning to the machine to press start to actually get it to do any washing at all. Will avoid any Hoover products in future because of the bad experience with this item. (read more)

hnl662 hoover washer. bought this washer from curry's worked fine for a couple of weeks,had to call an engineer to tighten the belt,after a couple of weeks mysterious black marks started to appear on the clothes and didnt know what it was until recently it also puts holes in your clothes shreds them especially woolens and cotton.i got a five year parts guarentee from hoover which i thought was great but when i phoned telling them the fault which is the paddles,they said id have to pay for an... My MAchine as per other reviews fails to actually clean my clothes. I find that quite often I have to re wash my laundry due to the marks all over them. I have had an engineer out who suggested that I use less washing powder and do smaller loads however even on a half load my clothes are still marked. I can honestly say that this is the worst machine I have ever purchased in my life and a huge waste of money.

Ive always had hoover washing machines, but this one has put me of, after 15 months the washing machine paddles broke. i too bought it for the spin speed and then found after i have done the wash i have to respin to get the clothes drier. i find clothes when dry are left with white soap residue marks no matter how little soap i use, seems does not rinse well. My Hoover HNL662 machine has badly marked my clothes twice . first time the enginere said to put a cleaning agent containing bleach on a sixty degree wash. did a load yesterday all marked and dirty. enginere coming back out. when you select a quick wash you have to spin the load again. (read more)

Don't buy a Hoover HNL662 washing machine unless you want clothes washing to be a really painful and frustrating experience.

This is a realy bad washing machine. It keeps going wrong and even when it's working it's not very good. One of the worst features is that the fast spin cycle can only be used as a separate operation. In other words it is not part of any wash programme. Without it, the clothes are soaking wet after the normal spin.

Don't buy one of these machines!!! I bought one sept 08 and in the last 2 weeks it has died mid cycle twice. I have had the Hoover Repair men out twice, first one replaced the board,motor and paddles it the worked for 2 days then died again. Booked another repair visit he turned up today had a look at the machine and told me it was coin damage and that there was a hairline split in the plastic drum, water had apparently dripped down onto the terminal block therefore causing the motor to...
