    Good Points: 1. Carl-Zeiss lens, very sharp and clear images
    2. Excellent manual control buttons
    3. Impressive Marco mode, 4cm!
    4. Easy menu navigation
    5. Fast shot-to-shot image recording time
    6. Fabulous battery life!


    Bad Points: 1. Proprietary flashlight (only support Sony's flash units)
    2. not upgradable to new Memory Stick Pro (256mb, 512mb...etc)
    3. images slightly shows purple edges
    4. Ok white balance control


    General comments: Overall, I really love this camera, especially it is such a great buy for the price. The image quality is excellent, that is one important factors which drawn me to buy this camera. Sony DSC-S85 is very versatile, you can simply use the auto mode to take pictures, and still have enough functions (manual controls) for you to learn photography.

    This is a very good camera. Takes good pictures at various lighting conditions. The digital zoom is a waste (much like every other digital camera I have seen).
