Had an appointment at the Berketex bride in Aberdeen today for bridesmaid dresses, and it was just about the worst level of customer service I have ever received. We were five minutes early and were made to stand and wait while the two women in the shop stood at the till and stared out of the window. When we were allowed to look at the dresses, the selection was very poor, horrendously overpriced, and most of the dresses were ripped or dirty. We found a couple of the least horrendous ones to... “Shocking service”

I made an appointment by phone for myself and my 2 bridesmaids. The lady on the phone was very polite and assured me there would be plenty of dresses for my plus size bridesmaid. I wrote down Sat 10am. When we turned up we were told that my appointment was at 11am, so I was sent away for an hour even though there were three girls standing doing nothing and there was no customers in the shop, we weren't even told we could stay and look at the dresses! “Broken Promises and LIES!!!”

My complaint that I wrote to Berkertex on 23/03/13 Upon arriving at the Aberdeen Store in May last year I was greeted by a lady called who is no longer with the company for very obvious reasons that appeared to be a very friendly and professional woman who was more than helpful with my bridesmaids trying on several dresses and she was very accommodating regarding one of my bridesmaids who is very conscious of her weight. I attended a Fashion Show in the Aberdeen store this week, and it was the best I have ever been to. It was informal, fun and informative, the staff worked hard and made sure everyone was spoken too individually. I will be going back for my bridesmaids dresses. The manager said the she intended having regular Store Events like this one. “Brilliant Service - Very Helpful Staff”

After a last minute let-down by an online store, I contacted this shop to query if they might have any dresses in-store that might be suitable for a 'black-tie' event, ie an evening dress. The staff were extremely helpful, and by the time I arrived at the shop less than an hour later, had already looked out a selection of outfits. Best fashion show I have ever been too, it was informal, fun & informative.

14th aug 2010,would never buy from this shop or tell anyone to get a dress from here.were given wrong prices when ordering,dresses way too big for younger children.not very helpful in the shop,treated like second class citizens,was very disappointing wedding day is meant to be the best not for us it wasnt.dressmaker said poor workmanship and dresses not worth the money nearly £350. I bought my dress from this store over a year ago and the experience I have had with them has been fab. They were so supportive from my first appointment to my final fitting, even when nerves were taking over, and I have told all my friends about it so I thought I'd share my opinion here aswell! I got married a couple of months ago and although the service before I bought the dress was fantastic. I feel that once you had handed over your money the service went downhill. My parents don't live in aberdeen, so I asked if I could bring my mum in one day to see the dress I had bought. I got my dress in Berketex Aberdeen for my wedding in March 2010 and the whole experience was great. It was the first shop I went to and the best. I went to a couple of others after but Berketex was by far the best experience. Alison helped me pick my dress, advised on dresses that would suit and made me feel totally comfortable. unfortuately i had a bad experience when i bought my wedding dress as when it was ordered in october 2008 and i was getting married in September 2009 it was 3 inches or more too short and i had paid for extra lenght as i am 6ft and wasn't given any explanation as to why this error occurred. They had to reorder me another dress and this was 3 weeks before my marriage and when the new dress arrived 2 days before the wedding and it was 6 inches too long amd the bodice was twisted so you can... I brought a gown from Berkertex Bride in Aberdeen today, what a wonderful experience. I could have not been more pleased. The service was second to none, just excellent. I got married on the 4th September 2009 & I have to say that my experience in the Berketex Bride Aberdeen branch for my wedding dress was superb. Everything went so well & everyone commented on my beautiful dress. I was a bit worried with the dress not being sent till about 4 weeks before the wedding but it arrived before that & all the adjustments went really smoothly & gave me more to time at the gym! I would say that my experiences at the Berketex Bride in Aberdeen was a bliss. I was assisted by very helpful and cheerful attendants who never complained or got tired of how many dresses I tried on. Two assistants in particular were really exceptional and deserve commendation. This was unlike other Bridal rooms I visited like Brides Delight who seemed pushful, and even gave me a size 20 dress to try on in order to later adjust it even when I clearly wanted a size 12 or 14.
