Just "enjoyed" a protacted dispute with QWERTY Travel over 4 months following a horrendous holiday to Egypt. “incorrect details”

just spoken with first choice as we are unable to enter API information using the information provided by our agent. this is due to somebody at QWERTY travel entering the incorrect details???? Paid £10k+ for a holiday and now stressed that we may not all go because some little pen pusher has entered details incorrectly. We wrongly advised you that you had paid in full when you had not. However, if you check your records you will see that the total sum paid to date is not that which you agreed to pay when your bookings were accepted so all we have requested is the balance that remains owing. Customer goodwill is of immense importance to us so we please call our administration team today to get the situation resolved - you can then put this unfortunate matter behind you and start looking forward to your holiday.

Booked up to go to Tenerife for 6 people all inclusive for a week, this was £426 per person. One of the people on the holiday unfortunately had to cancel so we rang Qwerty travel to cancel 5 days after booking and 5 months before the holiday. They have told us that we are not even entitled to a solitary penny back for the person who needs to cancel. Thank you for your review, which I was extremely disappointed to read.
As is well documented on this website, the vast majority of our customers are very pleased with both the level of customer service they receive, and the holiday they have purchased. And, whilst there was clearly some confusion, I must strongly disagree with elements of the review you have submitted and how the confusion came about.
It is simply not possible for us to call you back based on a call back request placed with another company. The request was definitely placed on our website. I can only assume that ours was one of several sites you were viewing at the time. For reference, I can also confirm that the Nile Cruise offers we display on our website all state that we offer excursion packages as an option, and at an additional cost. In this way, we are able to give our customers complete flexibility to tailor their week long cruise to their individual requirements. It is my understanding that the option to book excursions was in fact discussed with you at the time of booking.
I am also sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with our response to your wish to cancel your holiday and receive a full refund. As part of the booking process, and before any payment is taken, our sales staff will clearly read a statement advising you that you are subject to the terms and conditions of your service providers, as well as our own, and that charges will apply if you later cancel or amend your booking. This is normal procedure, and is for your protection, as well as ours.
Again, I am extremely sorry to hear you are dissatisfied, we want all our customers to be happy with their purchase, but I feel it is wrong for you to suggest that we have done anything underhand, or that we have deliberately misled you in any way.

Completely agree with this dissatisfied customer.We booked a holiday recently with them for 6 people to Tenerife,however,within a week my son was offered a teaching job in South Korea.He immediately contacted Qwerty Travel (bear in mind we paid in full for this package).This holiday is not leaving until 3rd of October,& on contacting Qwerty,were told that not one penny is refundable !!!.DISGUSTING way to conduct business.My son,who is not a rich person is now £426 out of pocket !!!

“Worst recommended holiday ”

On the day we was to leave we had contacted the agency to double check if our bag had been checked in and they had said that only on the way back a back was checked in which caused a huge amount of stress. The holiday it's self was a complete joke, it was completely ruined and i think you should consider removing the holiday package to Sara Su Hotel in Turkey there were complaints by us and everyone in the hotel thought the entire holiday. When you book the service is fab. However, when things go wrong the customer service dept is apalling. We booked last year to go to Spain. When we arrived at hotel, they had overbooked and we ended up being transferred to a very different type of hotel, full of children and our original booking had been adults only. We saw a very reasonably priced cruise down the Nile and so decided to book with Qwerty. The Nile Cruise was cancelled but they wouldn't refund our money. We went on the first part of the holiday which was in a resort but we are not beach people and were bored out of our heads as travel out of the resort was not advised. I have since spoke to an advisor at qwerty travel, who was again extremely rude, and in fact I even emailed details of prices off Qwerty travel web site to be told BY THIS ADVISOR that these where not off there web site, .JOKE So I would advise anyone to think before booking with Qwerty Travel as the level of customer service is disgusting, So I think now its a letter of complaint to the CEO, BEWARE NIGHTMARE CUSTOMER SERVICE

We have just been advised that our holiday to Egypt has been cancelled and will only recieve back half of what we paid. As they cannot get a refund on the flight and hotel. THIS IS A LIE. The airline have confimed a the would issue a refund in full. They will only offer a credit not for the rest of the amount. Hi,

I finally managed to get the refund, you have to go really hard via email including Trading standards, CAB and atol/abta/CAA quotes etc with the law on your side. i also found that including there MD in my final email seemed to help, i found that though linkedin and it was intial then sirname@qwerty.com. You have to go really hard at them and do not accept what they say. They will try to tell you it is a tailor made and not package but according to the law this is not the case if you book 2 or more parts to the trip it is deemed a package.

I also found that trying to contact the airline etc myself helped as i got accurate information and conformation they would give a full refund which helped in the argument that we had not cancelled this. Also a bad review telling everyone what they are like honestly may help.

I'm still waiting for the money to appear back on my card but they did confirm this would take a little while.

If you need anymore advise please let me know. i don't want to put to much details here initially as they also read this post.

“All bad reviews are true so dont go near this company”

Don't go anywhere near this company. They cancelled our holiday to Egypt two weeks before we were due to go due to the trouble out there and would only refund the money for the flights and said we had to take a credit note for the cruise, hotel and transfers. Their terms and conditions are terrible so we had to comply with them and had to use the credit note within the year, just another way to get more money out of you. We have been treated the same as you holiday to egypt cancelled and only half refund and other half a credit note! Also our friends got full refunds from other companies! We have been told to drink trading standards! Being atol protected doesnr seem to count for much! I never want to use this company again but am now being forced to ciz if this stupid credit note!

We went to the travel trust association and they couldn't do anything as their terms and conditions have you over a barrel. Like you we were forced into using them just to use up the credit note. They want me to get in touch with them for some reason, they wouldn't do anything for me at the time so why would they do anything for us now so I am not bothering. We have used up the credit note now and will never use them again. They are part of the querty group so need to stay away from them too

“Very poor service ”

At log last some communication from Qwerty, as you will of read in my review, I've had a very bad experiences with Qwerty, even though I fully appreciate the fact that you were not responsible for our flight being cancelled and if thid had not of been the case we would of gone on to have the holiday we had bookes, paid for and hopefully enjoyed, we had such poor service from the customer service team that this caused the problems we had to entail. I've e-mailed, got my solicitor to write on 2 occasions, rung to check communication had been received by you but no had one respose apart from being told to put all communication in writing which I dis. So sorry to rant at you, I do appreciate your response and loom forwrad to some sort of explanation to my concerns.

Thanks for taking the time to highlight this. I have looked into your complaint and I am very sorry to see that your flights were cancelled. That must have come as a great disappointment to you. I also apologise on behalf of our admin staff if their response was slower than you had expected it to be – I know that many people were affected in a similar way and because of this alternatives sold out very quickly. It was of course a peak time for us so staff were under enormous pressure but I agree that is no consolation when your plans have been upset in that way, and I can only apologise unreservedly on behalf of everyone here if you felt your problem was being ignored. I can see from the notes on file that this was not the case, but I understand why you may have thought otherwise.

As far as your correspondence was concerned, I can assure you that we did write a detailed response to you on the 27th June. Unless the address we had on file was incorrect that should have reached you within one or two days. We will re-send it today but if you fail to receive it again, please email us to confirm your address as it may be that the information we have on file is inaccurate.

I would just like make one final apology and reassure you again that your experience is not representative of that of most of our customers. With this in mind, we hope very much that you will give us the opportunity to help you again at some time in the future so that we can restore your confidence in us and the service that we always try to provide.

DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY PLEASE READ REVIEWS ON LINE THEY ARE ALL TRUE ! I have never had such poor service or such a stressful experience. I booked a holiday via teletext to Electra Palace in Lalissos for my self and my two adult daughters . On the thurs 28th March 2013 I got a e mail to say hotel still closed must accept hotel change to Kreston Villas Kalithea. “Avoid like the Plague”

I booked a holiday, never got any infomation but yet took our money, 2 days before flying we had nothing, got some rude lady in the admin department and said to write in by e-mail.... I called the hotel that we were booked into and nothing to say we were booked into that hotel. We didnt go on holiday but yet they still have our £3001 and fighting for our money back. I also have had a bad experience with them. how are you going to claim your money back. I wrote a letter to them of complaint but they are not prepared to do anything. I want to take it further but looking for best source

“avoid at all costs”

at time of booking with qwerty travel, i was unsure of the amount of baggage we wanted to take. The person making our booking said dont worry call back when you know. Within an hour i called back to add one case to be advised that i had to call their admin dept monday morning. I did this and was told by some very rude woman working there that i had to pay an admin fee to add a bag on top of the baggage fee.
