    I bought one of these and it was broken when received. Sent to service center for 2 weeks, came back, broke again after 2 days, sent back 2 more weeks. After that, printed only 10 pages (black and white) and it was showing out of ink for one of the color cartridges. Their cleaning cycle wastes a lot of ink and printer won't print when cartridge is half full. Brother support did not have any comment about this. Only plus side is the scanner works when the ink is out and Linux support is decent.

    The Brother MFC 260C printer has been very good to date, except when the ink cartridges were loaded Black/y/c/ are OK, magenta does not seem to work i have tried three magenta cartridges, and only get partial magenta print test print page.
