Good Points: I love this flute. I think the tone is richer than any other flute I've tried. When I attended college in the 80's the Haynes flute was the one to own. I just never thought the tone of the Haynes was rich enough. This Pearl has so much more depth than any Haynes I've heard or played.

Bad Points: My Pearl has an issue with humidity and tends to have 2 sticky keys in the summer----even though I never play outdoors. The case and cover are a bit cheap for a flute in this price range. I keep my case w/cover in an over the shoulder padded gig bag for added protection.

General comments: I waited a long time to make this major purchase and I love this flute. I'm a music educator and I generally play in sacred church settings. This Pearl's tone fills the sanctuary with beauty. I bought mine a year ago from a dealer in TX who had used it as a demo---took a gamble and it paid off. It was practically brand new and I saved almost $700 off the price. This flute fit me like a glove the first time out of the case---I was worried, I had played my old flute for 35 years.
