“Wheel balancing ”

This review is for the Kwik fit next to Perry's ford High Wycombe .. Took my Transit custom in for 4 new winter tyres to be fitted.. Tyre's fitted drove away.. Later in the week whilst on the motorway I had a wheel wobble & vibration through the steering at around 60mph.. I went back to Kwik Fit who rebalanced (after they'd balanced when fitting tyres in first place) front wheels & told me that one had a buckle & he'd balance it the best he could. Why this wasn't found first time round will become clear in a moment.. Well after adding a large strip of weights to the wheel I thought I'd take the wheel to a specialist & get it straightened.. I took the van to Herts wheels he removed the "buckled" wheel put it on his machine & found no fault no buckle..They Re balanced the wheel with very little weights.. I then asked if he could balance the other from & rear wheels.. Well the findings were that Kwik Fit hadn't balanced the other front wheel properly & hadn't even bothered to balance the rears.. All I can say is that two Kwik fit so called fitters failed to use the wheel balance machine properly & didn't bother at all with the rears.. I'd never use them again after that experience & glad I never ordered a new wheel based on their findings.. Useless!!! Ps thanks Herts Wheels for your professional service.

“Terrible customer service”

Called on Saturday and agreed that their "specialist" would investigate problem on Monday so handed keys in with car in Sunday. I called back on Monday afternoon to check progress. Was then told that mechanic had a full diary and hadn't been in touch. They argued that they didn't agree to Monday. Why else would I leave the car on Sunday? Eventually agreed that the work would be investigated and carried out on Thursday. Called back Thursday late afternoon to check progress and the guy on the phone "wasn't sure" of the progress. I asked if there was no way of checking? Then he told me that the manager was dealing with it. I knew straight away that he was stalling. I asked him to call me back which he did. I was informed that the mechanic hadn't got back to them. Then well he was told but needed further confirmation. I was told that it could get looked at on Monday. Told them that there was no need and would down to collect my car. When I entered the office two members of staff were continuing a long conversation and made no eye contact. I eventually spotted my key and asked if it was mine. The guy at the front just said "yes" and turned away and continued the conversation. There was no apology or even attempt at an explanation. Really arrogant and offhand treatment. I left flabbergasted and disgusted. Avoid Kwik Fit High Wycombe at all costs. The unbelievable thing is that they didn't even seem bothered at losing the business. Well great because I won't be back.

“NOTHING KWIK about Kwik Fit! OVERPRICED & TERRIBLY SLOW!”

Waited over two and half hours to have two tyres changed! I was charged premium brand tyre prices for two budget tyres! Very bad customer service. AVOID USING AT ALL COST! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! RAC SHOULD ALSO HANG THEIR HEADS IN SHAME for taking their customers there! Kwik Fit High Wycome have had bad reviews over the years. NOW 2016 NO IMPROVEMENT! KWIK FIT HEAD OFFICE LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS AND TAKE ACTION!

“Rude Staff, High Prices, Long Wait Times”

Went in to change a punctured tire, they drove the car out of the garage and handed the keys over to me without saying a thing. I get in the car and immediately realise something wrong with the steering (I could turn the steering wheel upside down and the wheels would stay straight). So I go back in to ask if they can do something about it as this was not an issue when I took it in the garage and they put me to the back of the queue even though I'd waited 2 hours for them to initially change the tire! When I asked what needed fixing on the car, the man growled "Tracking" at me. I had no idea what that was (what was being tracked?) and asked "what" to which he replied in an even harsher growl "TRACKING." I asked how much this would be, and they said £45 with an additional fee of £16 for everything extra they had to do. They said the extra would be charged for every additional adjustment (Caster, Camber, Toe) they had to make. Wouldn't ever use this garage again. Instead of waiting here I went to one down the road called "STS Tire Pros" who were very friendly, quick and did the adjustment cheaper than Kwik-Fits base fee, even though all 3 needed to be heavily modified!!

Terrible place to go - drive past and go anywhere but Kwik Fit!
I had a hole in my exhaust system and went to Kwik fit, they 2 new parts for my exhaust and fitted them, drove off and the car was making horrible creaking sounds, and occasionally made loud noises as though the exhaust was broken again.
Went back to Kwik fit to complain, they inspected and said the exhaust was 'blowing through a gap' in the joins, but this is normal and it would seal itself...
It has not and the creaking is still present, the dealer says kwik fit fitted the wrong exhaust and that the exhaust should not have to 'seal itself'

very very very dissapointed. Don't touch Kwik Fit

“As my exhaust rusted clean apart about 2 months back,...”

As my exhaust rusted clean apart about 2 months back, we rolled down the hill to Kwik Fit, High Wycombe, to be told it needed a whole new system (well naturally!) costing £300 as this was a "special car requiring special things" ( it's a Peugeot 206!!), got them to do the minimum and just fit a new downpipe for £86. We bought a new exhaust elsewhere and was told Kwik Fit's diagnosis was completely incorrect, they were talking rubbish, and so managed a new exhaust from a car parts place including the fitting for £150. My car is currently at Full-Cirlce for an MOT retest after one of the failures last week happened to be the exhaust. I have just had a call to say the downpipe on the exhaust is totally wrong! WHAT???! Yes, Kwik Fit fitted entirely the wrong type anyway ! I phoned them and was told to bring the car down to them, they'd have a look and order the right bit. No apology, nothing, and if they think i'm paying more for the pleasure of them rectifying their mistake...i'm RIGHT in the mood for a good shouting today too!!! Unbelievable!
