I Recently purchased a used car from Bristol Street Citroen and all seemed fine up until I picked the car up! On the day I picked the car up I was told I would have to pay an extra £140 deposit, I no longer had a warranty included nor did I have gap insurance none of which I was told until that day!! I liked the car so as annoyed as I was I took the car anyway. All seemed fine until I get a phone call from my old finance company to say they had not received payment from Bristol street to... This garage is a joke from start to fininsh. We took our C4 Picasso their as it had a problem with the engine management system and needed a main dealer to carry out diagnostic tests Couple of days later Rip off Street motors contacted us to inform us that they needed to carry out more tests at a additonal cost of £180 to hopefully find the fault. However they did inform us thta whilst the car was their they had done a health check and our car required best part of £2k spending to rectify... (read more)

Bought a new DS3 30th Sept 2011 and biggest mistake ever! Only had it for a month before it started going wrong, it's been back 6 times. On one of the occasions it was there 6 weeks, had a head gasket fitted(major part for a new car)and I'd had it back less than a week before it went back. On another occasion I had to drive round for 10 days without window wipers and the engine losing power before I get get it repaired. The customer service doesn't exist, once you've been sold a car they... (read more)

Just over a year ago Bristol Street put in a whole new engine in our Citreon. Then it started cutting out whilst driving. We took it back to them and they charged us for a camshaft sensor. The very next day after they were supposed to have fixed it the same problem happened again. They rufused to collect the car at first but eventually agreed after many conversations. They then said it needed a major service and new fuel pump. We paid for this work then eight days later the car burst... (read more)

Citroen C4 grand picasso. My car kept cutting out (Feb 2012), so we took it onto the Nottingham dealership. They just replaced the sensor. Took it away and the same thing happened a few days later. They refused to collect it, saying that they did not have any tow away facilities. Argued with them for a couple of days, finally the general mamanger agreed to collect the vehicle. They 'inspected' it and then pushed a full service on us, saying that would rectify all of the problems. Less than... (read more)

i have had the same continuous problem with them for 2 years now! i purchased a astra from them with warrenty. (luckily) since iv had it, i have had numorous problems with it that they insist they have fixed and clearly havnt! after a year of problems it needed a new engine which they said i had to pay for but my warrenty covered it! so i got in touch with evening post who claimed i a had a story. they contacted bristol street for me and so bristol street agreed to pay for the engine. up till last week bristol street have had my car for a whole year!!! they claim to have been fixing it and have provided me with courtesy cars (but this is only because i have threatened them with solicitors etc)i have had 9 courtesy cars from them in a year!! last week when my warrenty was due to end, they said they needed the car i was driving back and i could purchase another car of simular value from them because they were struggling to fix the astra but in the mean time could i take my astra back (has it is driveable according to them) to drive untill they find me another car, i agreed!!! BIG MISTAKE!!....the car overheated from there garage on nuthall road to aspley and when i took it back to them they said it is my fault!! now i have no warrenty and no car!1=! I RECIEVED A LETTER FROM HEAD OFFICE TO SAY THAT THE GFENERAL MANAGER HAS INFORMED THEM THAT I HAVE REFUSED TO GIVE THIER COURESY CAR BACK AND THEREFORE WILL NOT BE INSURING ME ON ANOTHER CAR (LIES) AND 9name removed) HAS ALSO INFORMED ME THAT HE CAN NO LONGER SELL ME ANOTHER CAR AS I HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO THE ASTRA WHICH HAS SIEZED THE ENGINE IN 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT!! SO HAS YOU CAN SEE THEY ARE LIERA, CHEATERS AND HAVE SOME OF THE RUDEST STAFF I HAVE EVER KNOWN ESP THE MANAGERS! DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A SOLICITOR TO HELP MY CASE AS TRADING STANDARDS ETC ARE VERY UNUSEFUL!!! I HATE BRISTOL STREET MOTORS!!!

To start with if you vehicle is broken down and you want a car you need to ask for alternative transport ! How can bristol street motors supply a car for every customer get real ? And another thing if people don't just assume that the garage have a magic wand and can fix everything half the problems wouldn't exist your main issue here has been you wanting a car that you have expected and not even asked for ??
Written on: 11/03/2012
And again another person wanting a magic wand waved this is a garage all cars have been checked before classed as road worthy as soon as you have a problem straight away it is the garages fault and you want this and that people like you give these dealers a bad name let alone there poor staff ! Lesson to be learned don't by a none franchised vehicle from a dealer your buying a vauxhall at a different franchise dealer ?

BIG MISTAKE: HUGE.
ANY organisation is only as good as the people who work there. The Bristol Street Motors, Nottingham branch is HORRENDOUS.
I am used to taking my car to be serviced at its manufacturer's dealership. The difference experienced here is phenomenal. However, we also own a Citroen and decided to give this branch a try for both cars.
We found the service to be completely inflexible, unhelpful, lacking any understanding of customer needs.
There was an inability to discuss...

Such a bad time that you took out a 3 year service plan with a branch that have done so bad to you but agree to get you car serviced there for the next 3 years and if you an ex tec why don't you service your own cars ??? Again another slater but nothing to back up your evidence apart from taking out a 3 year plan on both of your cars ! Yeah good one ...

They only seem interested in giving you a quote to do work on the car. Sent my car there for a health check and if everything was fine, an MOT. I went back to fin out what they had found out and then they told me my car was so damaged to the extent that it required £1600+ to pass the MOT. I didn't even ask them to do the MOT until they'd done a proper health check. Plus one of my bulbs wasn't working so there's no way I'd ask them to do and MOT knowing it will fail. Frankly, the worst... (read more)

This branch is a joke.
The customer service is possibily the worst ever.
Due to their inadequacy I decided to take my care somewhere else for a second opinion. The best decision I could have made. Got the work done at half the price and so much more on the ball and efficient.

Be afraid, very afraid!
Had my car MOT'd here, they failed the car & told me it needed £100+ worth of work doing to it as the breaks hardly worked. Was a bit suspcious of this as the breaks seemed to be working fine. Advised them I'd take it elsewhere for the repairs & return for a re-test.
The other garage I took it to (another MOT centre) couldn't find anything wrong with the car & suggested I took it back for a re-test as it was. Strangely enough, having had no work done to it, it...
