“Breakdowns!!!!!”

Sales staff good the after service needs alot of work. Bought Citreon C4 13 plate, collected on a Monday broke down the following Saturday. Not even had it a fortnight, towed to garage. No courtesy car unless I wanted to be taken to a hire company , pay and then recoup costs. However one of staff did give us a lift home. Clutch gone apparently. Repaired and collected Thursday evening. Kept waiting for 45 mins it wasn't ready and had to take it while still being valeted. Staff rude. Friday morning got in to go to work clutch gone no gears again! Had to call again and explain how upset I was and annoyed. Outcome spend £10.00 on a taxi after a busy work day to collect a car that belongs to the sales person for the weekend. Tow truck collects car Saturday morning and assured I would get a call to tell me what they had found. NOTHING, called in and of course mechanics gone home. Now I'm waiting and wondering if I dare drive the car again or is something else going to go. I want to give it back and get something else but why should I be out of pocket for there lack of pre checks on the car and dreadful customer service. If you value your sanity I would not recommend this garage/after service.

I had a call to say I could trade in my C3 for a newer model, I took some time to go down and look around, I was offered a C4, older than my current car and with more miles on the clock, they wanted £6999 for the car and pushed me into signing. when looking for quoted for insurance I found the same car, same reg on another site for £4500. I asked why this was and was assured it was a mistake. I then searched the Bristol street motors website and saw the same car on their own website for £4500, I asked why I had had this experience but as yet no answer. I did a little looking and found a newer C4 with less miles on and £500 less than the one they offered me but was told this wasn't an option. they're  only interested in money, zero customer service skills

“RIP OFF SERVICE”

I was pushed very hard to carry out a Manufacturers service for £180. When i asked what it contained the woman from the call center said it contains oil, oil filter, pollen filter and air filter and top up of bonnet fluids. I explained the air filters were still new and only cost at most £15 each. I asked what the difference between the Bristol Street Motors service was and she said its just an oil and filter change. I opted for the latter as i didnt want my warrenty affected. I find out now i could have got this done locally for under £40 and my warrenty would have been intacted. They also put in 15w40 engine oil in my Citroen C1 when i requested 5w30. Basically if you want to waste money, pay them.

I bought a 3 year old Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2008 model in 2011 from them. 7 months of usage and the car stalled and the engine cut off in the 3rd lane of the motorway at 70mph amidst large trucks, with the entire family in the car. The car was towed to Bristol street motors in leicester. They took 2 days to even attend to the car which had all sorts of nasty signals on the dashboard like anti - Pollution system, Hand brake faulty, gearbox faulty etc. I had taken a 3 year extended warranty with them, but they made it a point that I need to pay for diagnosis which I vehemently disagreed with. They were not able to diagnose the fault and simply reset all the problems and handed the car over to me. I was told that, should this major problem recur, I will definitely have to pay the diagnosis fee despite taking a comprehensive warranty with them. Did not make any sense. Now, I am in the hope that the car does not fail. Reading other reviews, I decided that we will not be using this garage for our regular services as well due to their poor customer service.

They have absolutely zero customer services skills - they just want to take your money and do not want to help. They have never attempted to resolve my car problems just rip you off with a £60 diagnostics test when the car is nearly new! They certainly do not like it when you question them they get very defensive - we pay a lot of money for our cars and we should expect them to work for longer than two years without forking out all of the time. A local mechanic has warned me never to use them again and the rac actually laughed at the diagnostics test that bsm said was required which wasn't at all. BEWARE!
