    Good Points: All round ability, Ohlins suspension and brakes, comfortable ride, easy maintenance, bags of character, good safe handling, run for ever engineering.


    Bad Points: A little heavy, moderate power, lots of sharp edges make keeping it clean a pain.


    General comments: In a word probably the best all round motorbike, combining performance, ease of maintenance, looks, quality and most importantly character.
    Capable of touring, yet able to play on the track too and then cruise down to the pub and gather a crowd in the car park at the end of the day...
    Its engineering suffers from the parts bin engineering of the pre Aprilia days at Motor Guzzi, but it did benefit from the Aprilia improvements in quality and of course has the much improved 6 speed gearbox and hydraulic clutch. Still a little clunky, but able to handle clutch less gear changes.
    It's not as beautiful as the top line Italian bikes, but it still looks good, a sort of page 3 girl rather than a super model.
