Ball mice were driving me crazy with their erratic operation and need for constant cleaning. This optical mouse was like a breath of fresh air. It works just fine under XP, but installing the Logitech Mouseware software allows you to reassign the button functions and change the cursor 'ballistics' (motion) as well as adding more cursor styles etc.
I do a lot of designing of electronic printed circuit boards, so it's critical that the cursor moves exactly where I want it to. This mouse is... (read more)
