I was chasing the useage on the account for several weeks and then came a random email informing me I was actually £6k in credit and that the direct debit would be lowered by a £100 a month!! They then had the audacity to say it could take up to 28 days to refund the £6k which is staggering. This is the SECOND time our supply has been switched to Spark without permission or consultation. The first time resolution was reached with the ombudsman......and now we are starting all over again. Having contacted our supplier, to ensure we are still with them and not Spark (which we have been told is the case) Spark try to tell us they are our provider and have been since 2014!! “Switched us against our will and massively overcharged”

Spark switched us over, against our will, and then refused to honour the 14 day cooling-off period. They then charged us £426 for only four week's supply (£80 with our previous supplier) and whilst we were still in dispute with them they referred us to a debt collection agency and have impacted upon our spotless 30 year credit history. “Huge Overcharging & delays in refunding payments back”

After completing a comparison review of energy providers, I found I could save £350 a year by changing electricity & Gas providers from Spark energy. The transfer took place almost 3 months ago, spark still took another payment the following month, even though I was now paying my new provider. I emailed the company who never responded. I would get a bill, then months without, then the next time I would get one there would be £hundreds of pounds in additional charges for some reason they couldn't explain. I got fed up and switched. I chatted with an adviser  who was very keen to help, and asked permission from her manager to use her personal email address to send me the statement so I didn't have to wait any longer. “Extortionate bill!!”

When we moved house Spark was the current supplier. I had arranged to transfer back to npower as before and was told this would take 4- 6 weeks therefore in the meantime I stayed with Spark. My bill for 46 days of duel fuel came to an eye watering £335. Disputed this and was told I was on the higher rate as I hadn't set up a direct debit- who would set up a direct debit for one month?! the person I dealt withwas the only one who took responsibility to deal and sort out this incorrect bill. Everyone else was inefficient and made empty promises. “Awful Customer Service ”

I disputed my final bill as I knew it was incorrect. After 4 calls over an hour on the phone and numerous staff employees telling me I was wrong. I have finally got a result today when I pointed out they had charged me for 36 months standing charge instead of 12. When we moved into the flat, this was the provider that the last tenants had been using. They warned us, when we viewed the property, to switch providers immediately as Spark were expensive and the customer service were not helpful. We should have listened to their advice. While trying to set up an account, this was necessary to switch provider, the website would not recognise the account number on our 'welcome letter', so we had to call customer services.
