My son as an individual didn't adhere to any suggestions from The No-cry Sleep Solution, except the -"change things up and see what works for you" - in the end, my son has to cry briefly before falling asleep - other wise he will go to sleep much later and wake at the same time, resulting in cranky baby days to follow. So, that's what works for us. All of us are different and so are our babies, so different things work for us. In no way does he appear to be unsatisfied with what we are... (read more)

When all around you tell you that the only way to get a child to sleep is through controlled crying this book is great at getting you to consider taking longer view not the easy options.
