The cheap & nasty website is an indication of GAK's cheap & nasty approach to retail. Items marked as 'in stock' on the website are not actually in stock, and some may even have been discontinued, as was the case with on of the items that I ordered. My items were ordered 2 weeks before Christmas but are now not due until mid-January. Go somewhere else, maybe pay a little bit more, but get what you want and get it WHEN you want it. AVOID.

Poor poor service - their bad website should have rung the necessary alarm bells. They are very difficult to get hold of by phone. The products, although stated as in stock, are not actually in stock with them! In stock with their suppliers - then it turned out that they weren't even in stock with their suppliers. Terrible service and misleading. I recommend you pay a couple of pounds more and get proper service from a more honest company - especially if you want the goods in a reasonable ti ...

got this for christmas.. it worked fine to begin with but within a couple months it was unusable.. sent it back and had to pay £8 postage.. they said they would fix it but had to wait for a part. I kept being told it will be a week.. then it still hadnt come.. then another week and so on.. eventually they agreed to give me a complete replacement but apparantly it wasnt in stock (even though STILL listed on website!) and that never arrived.. by the time i told them not to bother and just to ...

Used GAK many times over a period of around 3 years. Usually one of the cheapest reatilers for UK.

Whenever I've needed to contact GAK, either by phone or by email, the response has always been rapid, and they obviously know what they're talking about!

Delivery has also always been fine, strings first class royal mail, most other things have been delivered by courier.

Never had to return anything, but by the customer service they've given, I dont think it would be any problem at all. ...

I ordered an Ibanez guitar as the guitars I had had come to valuable to gig. I only ordered because it was cheaper than the other sites and also most importantly it was in stock. Shock shock shock it wasn't !!!

As others have stated before me, they take the cash BEFORE despatch. This is not the first time I have ordered from them, just thought that everybody has a bad day right.

I have ordered multiple times from this site and everytime the order has been moved to a later date and when it reaches that date they movee it too another later dateo. They never have the items in stock even though they have the items listed on the site. There is also no way cancel a order through the site, you either have to email or phone up. After checking just about everywhere on other websites for the cheapest price on an Ibanez guitar, i ended up on GAK. Ordered a guitar on a monday and waited for it to come. No email or notifications so i checked Order Tracking, they said it had been delayed by a week due to the item being out of stock, even though they said it was in stock at the time.
Im still waiting for my guitar to come, but the 'estimated dispatch' time seems to go further and further back every week I check. Im gonna canc ...

Complete waste of time, including their staff that lied about product being 'stuck in customs' when goods clearly not in UK. If you have a loooooong time to wait, best of luck - I've cancelled my order.

I have recently (Jul/Aug '09) brought from www.guitarampkeyboard.com (www.gak.co.uk) twice.

The first time I ordered a Line6 POD Studio KB37, plus Edirol MA-15D BK studio monitors, plus some connecting leads. The order process was simple, the prices the cheapest I could find anywhere (after a lengthy search I could not find anyone to beat the GAK prices). The goods were delivered on time, in perfect condition, with no items missing. I was extremely happy.

guitarampkeyboard had a great price but item wasn't in stock. Originally quoted to wait a month. Didn't arrive for three months. Eventually gave up and ordered somewhere else for a few extra quid.

Order? What Order? I have ordered twice from GAK, and twice the warehouse has somehow lost the stocked items? Not happy...both times were before events, and both times customer service were not very helpful at all.

very happy as GAK - Guitar, Amp, Keyboard Centre kept the price as it was when I purchase my Xponent when all the other shop were increasing the price even when it was purchased at lower price.

I attempted to order 3 seperate guitars from the Guitar, Amp, Keyboard Centre (GAK), first was out of stock, second was out of stock, the third was in stock but they never placed the order even though I phoned them and ordered over the phone, e-mailed to check the status of the order and was told the order was cancelled. Eventually I went to another site which were cheaper and had the guitar to me in 48 hours.

Have purchased many items from GAK, at prices lower than anywhere else. Recently bought a Marshall amp which was faulty. Was replaced, no quibble by return post. Excellent communication and customer service.

A first class service every time from GAK...don't need to shop anywhere else for musical needs.

Bought a Behringer Acoustic amp, which broke after 2 months (Behringer fault, not GAK). GAK arranged a courier to collect the faulty product and replace it. I declined the replacement and was offered store credit which I put towards a more reliable product. Every email which I sent was replied to within 12 hours and each reply was more than helpful and they even reduced the postage charge to N.Ireland.
