    Good Food and excellent service. The Balmoral Hotel staff were friendly and obliging, will certainly go again.
    A great place to eat when in Moffat. Rather old fashioned but an excellent choice of meals.
    I liked the friendly atmosphere could have been a bit faster with the service.Best meal out in ages. There was not much not to like about it. the portions were great and you did not come away hungery. A most enjoyable experience. Made even better by the fact it was someone elses treat.

    Having noticed that the hotel was ranked in second place for Moffat, we thought we would give the restaurant (in the bar area) a try one evening. We were very disappointed with the food. I had a fillet steak that I highly doubt was a fillet steak - tough and tasteless. My husband's meal of a gammon steak was adequate, but nothing special. We were very disappointed.
