Visited Leeds Christinglemarkt today, Millennium Square. No more than 12 Xmas cabins, a security man stands at the entrance where you are herded in to the square, imprisoned by a 7ft metal fence ( type used on building sites.) The fence panels covered untidily in banners, obviously trying, but sadly failing,in an attempt to hide a host of wheelie bins! Of the dozen cabins ( advertised as 'up to forty') at least half serving food and drinks. Been to Prague, London, now Leeds but Birmingham... (read more)

Go for some festive spirit and only if you have some money to BURN. Gifts are expensive, food and drink are expensive but everything is set out very nicely and has a good atmosphere. Oh ya, don't think you'll get into the beer tent on Fri or Sat night, you'll have to queue like a nightclub and possibly encounter some suspect visitors to the tent. (read more)

Definitely recommend the Leeds German market, if you have never been you'll be sure to enjoy yourself...if you've been before I can bet you'll be there again this year. (read more)
