Good Points: An usual storyline presented in a completely fresh way, impressive work by all the actors and a superb job done by the director. The songs are in a league of their own and A.R. Rahman's magic works again.
Bad Points: Honestly speaking, I did not find any thing bad about this film.
General comments: Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na is a marvelous film that revolves around few teenagers who pass out from the college and explore their lives afterwards. The major characters are Jai and Aditi who are the best of friends but fail to find the latent mutual love existing deep within their hearts for each other. Fate takes them through a roller-coaster ride till they realize their feelings. The story is simple but the way it has been presented is just amazing. The director, Abbas Tyrewala does a great job at direction and screenplay. The songs are beautifully composed by the maestro A.R. Rahman and picturised. Some of the scenes are just sheer brilliance especially the ones featuring Ratna Pathak Shah and the speaking portrait of her late husband, Naseeruddin Shah. The film has an appropriate dose of all spices like comedy, emotions, drama, melodrama and climax. The actors do an acceptable job but the way they complement each other and do their roles is just absolutely special. Nobody sets the screen alive, but all of them continue to emit sparks all the way along. Just a brilliant film and like a breath of fresh morning air. It is a great movie and a recommendation for all.
