“Terrible service, false promises made”

Delivery was a nightmare, very slow. Chased daily, promised call backs - nothing. Alleged issue with the address, but nobody contacted me. Asked for evidence I was contacted, turns out I was not. Used live chat 5 times, each time told that "I will handle the case personally and update in 24 hours". Eventually, told the parcel was being returned to them for a refund by the courier, but it arrived next day. I returned this to them myself, still no refund!!!… Read Full Review

“Terrible after sales services”

After 4 months nose pad came off and lost. Have been waiting 6 months for replacement and all I get is the same reply they are waiting for their supplier Total waste of money buying from this company and I would not recommend them.in future I will buy from my local optician even if it is more expensive. This is the second time I've ordered off smartbuyglasses after giving them a second chance. I knew I shouldn't have bothered. The first time I ordered with them I only found out after I had paid that the item was on backorder and I would have to wait up to 8 weeks for my glasses. The item that I ordered never showed up, in fact it got lost in transit, and after two weeks of telling them it was lost I requested a refund! The problem I have isn't the fact that the item was lost, I don't hold them responsible for that, but it's with the customer services, that kept telling me, it's fine, it will get there, we know what the issue is! When I first used this company my order was delivered within 3 days so judging by that I left it quite late before re ordering thinking I'd get the same service,wrong . This last time it took 8 & by then had run out of lenses so went to a competitor who's order I received before smart buys. If you need a pair of glasses promptly, DO NOT BOTHER. So I needed a pair of spectacles urgently having lost my old pair. “Really bad quality”

I bought some prescription rimless Tag Heuer glasses. The glasses had not been finished properly, the screw ends had not been trimmed or capped with what comes from Tag Heuer. The lenses were of extremely poor quality, so much so I had to spend a chunk more money in the UK to have decent lenses put in them. So rather than being cheap for the same quality, what I ended up having was a pair of poorly put together glasses with poor lenses that I ended up spending more on.
