Whilst delivery took longer than advertisied they were the only people showing as having stock of this item in the UK. Ironically it arrived (late) from Hong Kong (!), still, good communication from customer services (thanks ron), great product, price, and the fact that my holiday is in a couple of days means that this delay was no big deal. I would buy from them again.

i purchased from smartbuyglasses.co.uk for the second time last week, this time was for a pair of maui jim sunglasses which I absoluely love. It was not easy for me to find this model on other online stores and these guys are still the cheapest. they delivery time was a little last (they told me 5 working days but it arrived after 8 working days), in any case my experience was pleasant and I saved over 65 pounds on my order. soon I will order some contact lenses off them and see what happens!

This company is in fact based in Hong Kong and has appalling customer service! Shop elsewhere.

I have made an ordered more than one month ago. They sent me about 6 weeks after I made an order, unfortunately, they sent me a wrong colour of my glasses. Now I am still waiting, I would NOT recommend to any one. But if you still want to buy from this company, so I wish you have a better luck than me.

I orderd 2 frames from smartbuy, a bvlgari and a gucci.While the Gucci is still on back order, i did receive the bvlgari frame. It was just as decribed and as i have seen here in Malta in the shop. The only difference is the price. I paid 40 euros less for the bvlgari and 60euros less for the gucci a total of 100 euros !!!! It's simply fantastic. I'm never one to normally leave a review for anything but was somewhat anxious dealing with Smart Buy Glasses considering the bad reviews posted online. Ordered by Oakley glasses with specific thin lenses and 14 days later they turned up. Excellent quality and obviously genuine glasses. Seems like these guys probably assembly/buy the lenses/frames out of the Far East as the company is registered in Kowloon (credit card statement) but as long as you are prepared to wait 2/3 weeks then could not r ...

I was unsure about Smart Buy Glasses as I have never heard over them before!
It was only after a recent trip to the opticians where I was gob smacked at how much of a rip off it was! I got a salesmen in my face, blathering on about all these unique features of a piece of glass! I went in there and picked out some nice frames only to have them wait until the last minute to tell me it's only another £80 to have the glass put in! Just received my prescription glasses yesterday so here's how my experience has been:
I am in NZ so smartbuyglasses.co.nz.
Order placed on 09/08/2009, paid by credit card.
Immediately received an automated email confirming order was successful and normal delivery time is 5-14 days. If there is a delay they will contact me via phone or email.
This email contained exact specifications of what I had ordered so there was no ambiguity about that.

Glasses were ordered. Wrong colour glasses were recieved. Smartbuyglasses, told me it was my fault they had supplied the wrong colour. they then changed their website to the correctly describe the glasses. they are refusing a refund. Cerdit card payment stopped, working with the ACCC to get my money back. do not think the glases they supplied are even genuine. i would never use these guys again

Smart Buy Glasses, don't believe the co.uk address this company is not even in the EU......Ordered Gucci glasses, 6 weeks waiting for delivery with no contact/emails answers then I get a delivery from Hong Kong....Alarm Bells ring!!!

Made in Italy, shipped to Hong Kong then shipped to UK, just a little cheaper than any other webstore in UK. Hmmm :)

Lets just say my sunglasses were a lot more plasticy than expected and I wishI never heard of this company.

Have now been waiting almost 5 weeks for my glasses from Smart Buy Glasses!!! was told they would be 2 weeks. Have no issue with them taking longer as long as I was informed about this at the start - but i get no responses to emails. Will not be using them again!

I have ordered a pair of glasses from Smart Buy Glasses. A bit over 2 weeks ago and still I have not received them, but such delay is somehow normal for goods coming from China.

the Customer service has been brilliant, very prompt response, helpful and responsible.

would highly recommend this site to other people.

Read other reviews about Smart Buy Glasses and in the same boat as many, 2 months and waiting for one pair of glasses, many tiresome and repetitive excuses, finally received a pair only to find they were the wrong size, and you couldn't even buy that size on their website. I even paid to send the glasses back to them and no refund given even though they assured me they would, more excuses followed by the same guy? blah, blah, blah... still waiting....

Excellent value for money through smart buy glasses, as this company has made up designer prescription eyeglasses for me at a much cheaper price than anything I could find in the UK. The spectacles are perfect, and the customer service was customized and conscientious, with the company double-checking anything they were unsure about.
