Good Points: Looks nice, works, doesn't leak unless you actually tip it right over, doesn't taint most drinks. Suits both left- and right-handed users.

Bad Points: Will leak if knocked right over. Does affect the taste of coffee slightly.

General comments: My job requires me to both move around a lot and talk a lot, so I find it very helpful to always have a warm drink to hand. I have tried lots of different insulated mugs before getting this Aladdin Aveo Traveler, including two made by the well-known name Thermos. Unitl now, none have been very good. They have leaked, slid shut when I tried to drink out of them, and tainted my drinks with unpleasant flavours of metal and plastic.

This product by Aladdin, which I found in a Whittard Coffee shop for £8, gets around most of those problems. The lid screws into place rather than just pushing in, so it is almost leak-proof unless you tip it right over. Certainly I can stick it in the side pocket of my bag and carry it around without fear that the drink will end up everywhere. A nice touch associated with this is that you can screw it in it two ways, so as to suit both right- and left-handed users.

The slot that you drink from has a cover that locks securely into place both open and shut, which means that it doesn't annoyingly slide closed when you tip the mug up to drink from it. The first few drinks I tried were herbal teas and there was no discernable plastic/metal flavour at all, however I did find that it spoiled the taste of fresh coffee somewhat. This will probably diminish with time. It also looks very stylish, made of simple brushed stainless steel with smooth dark grey lid, and the base is rubbery, so it doesn't slip and feels reassuringly secure and solid when you put it down on pretty much any surface.

Overall it's a very good product, certainly the best I've tried so far, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who likes to carry hot drinks around without fear of spillage.
