    Good Points: good basic region free DVD player, all region hack codes work. Good picture too.


    Bad Points: very temperamental, tends to rejects disc. not just on my player but other who own the same model.


    General comments: The Samsung DVD 511 is a good basic model for a first time DVD buyer, especially if you buy overseas movies via the web.
    I was attracted to this model because it was region free and very affordable.i bought mine about 2 years ago and it stillgoes well.

    Good basic DVD player.
    Region hack worked OK.
    VCD's only work if copied on a CD-RW and written at the slowest speed.
    Best way to get them working is too insert the VCD then turn power off. Then press PLAY & wait. Keep doing it till one works.
