A superbly organised traing centre with excellent equipment and probably the best crew of instructors and support staff I have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble and the advice given was always pertinent and timely. The CBT element of the training was run as a group exercise and the instructor had the patience of a saint which he must now be given the group we had. Since the objective was to get a full licence by March 13 the Mod 1 and 2 followed quickly and GetBike fixed both... (read more)

Was bought a CBT session as a present. On calling was treated quite pooly on requesting a Saturday as apparently they all booked up straight away. As an alternative she suggested I book 'on a weekday before the weather improves'. Because my idea of fun is to be trained on a bike in wet conditions! Was made to feel like booking via Groupon was a mistake/my own fault. Other than calling periodically to try and catch a cancellation no real alternative was given. My girlfriend feels pretty bad... I had two instructors, terry and Louis! Both were very patient and amazing instructors. All the staff was friendly and kept checking on me while I was waiting for Louise to return from a training with another session. We were 3 students in the class and terry thought it´d be a good idea to split us up in 2 groups. The first group had experience and had done their CBT before and I was a new student. So he sent me on a 1-1 with Louis. All the staff were very helpful and answered all the... (read more)

Having completed my CBT with Lewis at GetBike last Friday, I can highly recommend them. From the moment I arrived, the staff were very welcoming - professional, while still remaining friendly. The small class size meant that I always felt I was being given enough attention, and my mistakes were quickly noted and corrected, which meant I was able to quickly build my confidence as a new rider. Out on the road, the thoroughness of the morning's training made me feel very safe, and Lewis was... (read more)

I have just renewed my CBT with Get bike. The team are amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable, patient and actually quite funny. You really won't get a better training gang, I should know- this is my 7th renewed CBT. A Big Thank you to Terry and Tony for the training. Also a massive thank you to Bridie and the crew. I had no idea about bikes before I went. The instructor Bob was helpful and wanted me to pass. I was the biggest novice in the class as all the other guys had years of experience in other countries. He taught me stuff with funny little stories how to get ahead. Like gaining little advantages that make you safer on the road. It was a good day out. Spoke to the owner as well and then met him a few weeks later by chance down the pub. He only fails people if the instructor feels they would be... (read more)

They purposefully fail you by picking minor mistakes and ask you deposit more fee to get more training. I've bike license and car license of two different countries and a biking experience of 15 years but they failed me twice so I said them get lost as they did the same with couple of other fellows. I've driven on motorways, mountain areas with single road of two traffic for several years but they didn't give me the CBT... According to them it's dangerous to put me on the road. GTH (read more)

Really happy with the training provided. Both Neil and Terry were really illustrating in their explanations and helpful with their indications and advices. Would have preferred the training to be a bit shorter, though. But would definitely recommend!! Thanks

As I was very tired and the weather wasn't particularly pleasant that day I thought it'd be very difficult to get the CBT.
Tony with his positive attitude, patience and kindness made things go smoothly.
A BIG THANK YOU!!!!!
Will definitely come back to do the training for my full license.
Best regards,
Mihaela Ciobanu

I recently recieved my CBT from Nik at Get Bike (Friday 30th January 2010) I found Get Bike through an internet search, and in complete honesty chose them entirely because they offered the cheapest, most hassle free CBT that i could find in London - Especially if you want all the gear and the bike supplied for the CBT.
The team at Get Bike were friendly, extremely good at what they do, trustworthy and very passionate about biking and growing their business through offering the best value...

I attended my CBT training on Monday 30th November, and despite the day starting out with miserable weather, it turned out to be a great day...(for me anyway)
I have never before ridden a motorbike or scooter and was feeling quite terrified before the session started. When I arrived nice cup of tea and a chat made me feel warmer and better!
From start to finish everything was explained and demonstrated really clearly - I'm a trainee teacher myself and know how hard this can be -...

I had been zipping round on a scooter for a good few months; I'd done my CBT with another outfit but didn't rate them in terms of passing my DAS. I visited Get Bike who gave me a quick assesment and suggested that I'd need a two-day course in order to pass. I didn't share their optimism.
Day one of the course was hard-going; I found it really difficult to do the slalom stuff and my balance was really poor. My instructor, Adrian, really stuck by me and transfered me to another bike for part 1...

I found out about Get bike back in May of this year from a friend. I had got to the point where I was so frustrated with having to use public transport and had started to consider the idea of getting a scooter. I rung Louis and was told they had just started a new scheme in which for the price of my oyster I could jump straight on a brand new bike.
The CBT course was a bit unknown to start with as I have not ridden a bike before. It was incredibly interesting and essential for me and by...

I have used GetBike from the very start of my biking interests.
From the CBT training to buying my actual bike and all the gear! GetBike was able to cater to all my needs and help me out with everything I needed to get out on the road biking and more.
Having wanted to learn to ride for a number of years I finally decided to get into gear (excuse the pun!) and book my CBT. As I had absolutely no previous riding experience (nor do I know anyone who rides for any inside info/tips :( ) I...

I've had a car crash about 3 weeks ago where a car at a junction turned right, in front of me when there was no right turn and i plowed right into the side of him.
I am still waiting for the guys insurance company to admit liability (and this is 3 week later)!
So i have bought a bicycle in the mean time to get around. At firsts i loved riding my little bicycle to work.
Now that it's getting colder and harder to get to work plus the pains in my legs are increasing i am growing sick of...

Friendly, excellent classroom instruction with HUMOUR, even! They have a parking area out back where you an do your CBT, and on site car parking as well. All the equipment you need is supplied for your training. When it's time for your BIG TEST, they book the test for you, give you a final lesson on the test day, accompany you to the test centre, and interface with the tester. VERY encouraging! The course content and structure of the CBT training day is rigorously set and enforced by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). An instructor (who is independently assessed by the DSA) is required to answer the question ‘are you reasonably confident that this person (student) is ready to ride on the road on their own?’* The 5 elements of a CBT must be completed in order and for a student to progress to the next element, the instructor must be satisfied that the student, despite experience, is competent enough to progress. In a small percentage of cases, students require more practice and are often asked to attend another CBT at a discounted rate. This is clearly laid out on our website under the CBT section and Training FAQ’s. It is not a money making exercise as students returning at reduced rates takes the space of a full fair paying customer. Instructors also have no responsibility to generate revenue for the company as they only wholly responsible for delivering the regulated course outlined above.
