Never have I been so engrossed in a world as much as I have been in True Blood.The world has some amazlingly realised characters, some of them are the most memorible characters of all time. The Vampire are the real show-stealers her, with some magnifcent moments from seasons 1-5 of this amazing show. I loved the characters, I loved the setting, I loved the storylines. I have to say I'm a bit sick of vampire TV/Movies as a whole, but this series changes everything. It's a totally original approach, with an intelligent plot (mostly), excellent character building and some great one liners. Any SciFi buffs out there should give it a go. (read more)

I missed watching True Blood the first time round when it was aired on FX in the UK. It was always on too late and I didn't want to get dragged into a show that might turn out to be a stinker or waste 6 years of my life for a pointless ending (Lost...). So I waited. It came out on Blu Ray so I thought I'd give it a whirl on Lovefilm. So glad I did. It has a sharp script with generally great actors (the only one strangely who is not that great is Anna Paquin), it's funny, dark and very sexed... (read more)
