Merlin is my best present fantasy TV show. The budget is not great but actors are awesome even they are not superstars. Perfect costumes, buildings, humour and characters.Merlin is not a classical action heroic fantasy show but watching this show is giving me very comfortable feelings.My rating: 10/10

Merlin is quite simply one of the best family dramas on British T.V in recent years. It does everything they do well in America but in a British way. This avoids it looking cheap and makes it instead charming when it cannot afford to be 'Hollywood' every story is special and unique. Full of suspense and fun.
Richard Wilson casts off Mr Meldrew with aplomb and the upcoming Colin Morgan has Star quality and depth in abundance. Anthony Head - who should be Doctor Who by now, is also excellent as E ...

Good acting saves what are sometimes low-budget special effects. Good to see talented young actors coming through.

In a nutshell, Merlin is great family entertainment without many obvious flaws, the balance of fantastic dialouge and action is just right, with a great cast... and in my opinion was a lot better than the last series of Doctor Who which i usually love. And don't get me started on why it's better that Robin Hood.
