Booked my ticket but the service was disrupted. Trying to get a refund is impossible and customer services lie and are generally uniformed. Got a ticket from Virgin which was £10 cheaper and MUCH better service… Read Full Review

“Punctual, clean, comfortable”

I commuted for a year (2012-2013) using chiltern railways between Bicester north and Oxford. When I first started using the service I was pleasantly surprised at the punctual service,which almost without exception ran like clockwork every day, I always got a seat, there is a quiet carriage option and free wifi aboard. “Terrible and Horrible Railway service company”

I think instead of upgrading the service, Chiltern Railyways have degraded their service. I have never seen such a worst railway service in the whole of UK. I travel to London from high wycombe... and not a single day has gone smoothly.. their whole service is a bad. No time keeping, worst customer service… Read Full Review

At 06.15 this morning I was furious to find a very polite representative but uninformed member of Chiltern Railways advising all passengers that there are no trains into Marylebone for at least an hour. This was a direct result of the Engineering works carried out over the weekend. “With so many train companies receiving criticism about...”

With so many train companies receiving criticism about their punctuality, or lack of it, Chiltern Railways manages to delivery a top class service whilst being regularly on-time. On their adverts they claim to be on-time 96% of the time and having used their service regularly for over 4 years, I would tend to agree.

Their trains on the mainlines to London and Birmingham are modern and generally remain clean and the addition of 'quiet carriages' whereby the use of mobiles are prohibited can… Read Full Review
