“why do you punish us?”

I have no choice but to use this poor excuse of a train as its the only one pretending to service the Chester to M/cr line. We too have a severe lack of cars at rush hour periods. I pay £200pm and for what?? To be squashed in a moving vehicle like an illegal immigrant!! Has anyone else noticed Arriva's lack of updates and half arsed apologies when they're late? “Consistently poor service”

So sick of Arriva Trains Wales with their shoddy service and shoddy excuses. It's like they've just given up trying to provide a decent service and yet are more than happy to take our money, and even have the nerve to increase fares annually. For what?? Where is this extra money being spent? Certainly not on more carriages. A few times a week without fail, people on the Ebbw Vale to Cardiff line are crammed into 2 carriages at the busiest commuter times, often with there being literally no room… Read Full Review

Travelled from Paddington to Abergavenny. Great Western service to Newport fantastic. Newport to Abergavenny awful! 2 coaches over crowded. The train manager came through checking tickets. I politely asked when are they going to put bigger trains on this route? Talk about jump down my throat!!!! There's plenty of room on here! “flipping terrible service ”

Firstly there was the price of the ticket which has gone up every single time we have traveled. We used the 17.04 to tenby from cardiff there was no where to sit at all & nearly all the standing room was full, when the staff demanded to board a lady & a double pram blocking the exit totally if there had been a fire or an emergency we simply wouldn't have been able to get out. “Disgusting train staff”

Absolutely disgusting service from one member of staff on the train. Incredibly patronising and up in my face for atleast 2 minutes. I'm currently a college student and used my college ID pass for discount on the train from Cwmbran to Cardiff (I wasn't aware that my college pass wasn't legible for discount on trains at the time). Things wrong with Arriva; Trains are unreliable Lack of information when trains are late/cancelled One of the most expensive in Europe They charge 16 year olds 'adult tickets' I a train is cancelled it won't be replaced The trains actually leak when they rub Toilets are never clean Receive the worst servic and still expect to pay But if you don't mind any of these things. I have often travelled on Arriva trains and their service is unacceptably bad. Unfortunately there is obviously no motivation for their service to improve as so many commuters, myself included, use their service aa no other is available. Trains are often late or cancelled. “Stay we'll away from arriva trains”

Booked a, from Crewe to yatton on 25th July the problem started at Crewe waiting for our normal train . We was moved to platform seven there was two coaches waiting . So our 4 reserved seats cancel we was packed in . And then we was told we may have to change train. Please do not travel via this train service. I had the pleasure- 'NOT' of travelling from Cardiff to Manchester. It was 'HORRIBLE'. The seats were filthy, the windows were dirty. No air-conditioning at ALL. The windows were open and and all sorts of rubbish like tree branches , feathers etc were flying in. “Poor resources for morning commute”

I take the same service train every morning from earlestown to Manchester and every morning we get a 2 carridge train which by the time it gets to newton there are lots of people standing up which makes it difficult to get about for the toliet. Also this morning i was moved from my seat as someone who had priority seating had that seat. This is coming from a user originally from England, where I thought train services were as bad as they could get. I was very, very wrong. I've been a user of arrival trains wales for 3 years now, and I have to say that throughout these hundreds of train trips they have always been exceptionally poor at the service they attempt to provide. Arriva Trains are never more than 2 carriages long. This results in passengers having to stand for in-acceptable long periods of time. Having experienced the journey between Shrewsbury and Cardiff today I would never recommend using this company's train service if possible. “Delays, unreliable, incompetent ”

In the last four return journeys I've done from Swansea to Stockport, myself and other travellers have had to endure over 7 hours of delays. Staff are not helpful, and don't give accurate updates. There are rarely plugs to continue work on your laptop, or charge your phone if you have someone meeting you at the station, because the battery dies after an inordinately long journey. There are rarely refreshments and if you travel at peak time there are often not enough seats in two carriages… Read Full Review

“Poor Poor Service”

I communte into Cardiff regularly form my local station, the train needs at least 3 carriages to accommodate everyone (even then people are standing). Arriva however, insist on putting 2 carriages on this route. Even cattle get to travel in less cramped conditions, but apparently buying a ticket does not entitle you to a seat just a journey!! Today's experience; I left work at 13:00 hoping to catch a train 1 stop to Llandaf station. Upon arriving, there were very few other passengers waiting. I should have been waiting around 5 minutes for my train. 2 minutes before the train was due to arrive, the board was updated to 'cancelled'. The next available train updated as being around 10 minutes late too (not sure of exact times). Arriva trains wales has to be the worst company I've ever had the displesure of having to use. About two and a half months ago now I made a journey from London to Cardiff using arriva trains company. Whilst I was booking my ticket an error occurred after I put in my bank and card details and so I called customer service and I was told to redo it. So I trusted the gentlemen and redid my details.
