Good Points: Almost plug and play, seamless bluetooth 2.0, many functions

Bad Points: Not striclty the devices fault...but FM radio waves awfully crowded

General comments: Been using this great device for a few days, and let me say this is great.

What does the Venturi Mini do? Well basically it is logical convergence of 2 current devices.

First, it is an FM transmitter. I am sure you all know these are devices that allow you to play your ipod through the car stereo with ungainly wires. You just pick a free fm frequency, connect the ipod to the transmitter and you are off. All your personal audio on the car tranny. Great! But wait; there is more!

Second, it hs bluetooth. Now with BT version 2.0 you get a stereo connection with compatible deviced that support bluetooth headphones (iphone, Nokia N95,N96 etc). Now your audio on that device can be played through the stereo. So fewer wires. So what happens when a phone call comes. Well, the music cuts out and your phone call audio is coming crystal clear through the car stereo. Fab.

The call quality I have found to be excellent. Users at the other end find it ok, but slightly comprimised. This is because the microphone is on the device, and the position of that depends on where your car cigarette lighter is.

If your MP3 player does not have bluetooth, then standard headphone jack to make the connection.

Lastly, there is a standard USB socket on the side, to charge your MP3/phone while you drive.

The device has a very clear OLED display, buttons for MP3 controls and call and end call buttons. Oh, you can also load your SIM contacts into the mini, to make calling easier.

The mini also used the RDS system to display on car radio, see who is calling etc. Also if you are listening to another radio station, the similar to a traffic annoouncement, it will automatically switch when a call comes in.

The mini has paired to my N96 without fuss, a reconnects to the phone automatically when I am in the car.

This has much to recommend it, and reduces the need to carry many devices. It priced similar to many high end headsets/visors and so much better than most. It s certainly better just as a bluetooth in car speaker phone than other devices by sony, nokia and parrot that I have tried.
