“Not the greatest customer experience”

I booked a holiday through booking.com to go to the lakes for my husbands birthday. It was a prepay deal, paid in November. just spent 3 nights at the Ash hotel Exmouth not impressed!!when I booked it was for full English breakfast but on going down first morning was told it was just toast and tea.I, produced my booking but was told that since booking it was now only continental . they gave me just £20.00 to cover the cost of eating out, When it cost double that. rooms were dirty and never replaced the towels or tea making facilities.very disappointed, would not recommend this to anyone… Read Full Review

My husband and I previously stayed at Amalfi Resort Busselton Western Australia about 5 or 6 years ago and were happy with our stay back then. However, this time around we were given a villa which had the master bedroom upstairs and 2 bunk beds downstairs whereas on our previous stay at Amalfi we were given a villa with the main bedroom downstairs and 2 single beds upstairs. “Change of a booking made difficult”

booking.com makes booking easy. To change a booking is made hard. I made a hotel reservation recently. This was easy. Then travel plans changed, as they occasionally do. The booking.com website would not allow altering dates. A message sent to bboking.com was forwarded to the hotel. Hotel says changes need to be made via booking.com. myself and partner recently took my perants to poland to give them the feel of what it is like as my partner is polish born we stayed in villa zosienka and got told we had a hot tub to use tv in muliple languages including english the upstairs bedroom had a double bed in that you could not stand up in or even room for me or partner to sleep the stairs also to the bedroom and bath room were too steep and dangerous bathroom stunk of sewage and you needed to be at least 2 feet tall to stand up… Read Full Review

Booked a room for one night at the four points Sheraton Nashville airport after reading reviews and viewing photos on several sites. I have no idea where they got the photos for this hotel but it is not the one that I stayed it. Not even close!!! Had an excellent raiting on several sites. Please please think about booking gold club apartments in Cabopino Spain I have never been to an apartment that lacked essential items . I have been to many apartments in Spain and there has been things like salt tea towels etc, the kettle was so furred up we could,nth use it the beds were broken and the top bedlinnen was stained and smelled there are some other reasons I would like to mention but the thought of them makes me shudder not a place to take young children or anyone for that matter… Read Full Review

hi, I have used booking.com a great deal,up to 'genius' apparently. However I have felt less a genius to turn up twice at hotels and no rooms existed. thankfully the first time when I arrived , the hotel arranged an alternate. booking.com DID NOTHING. I thought it an oversight but it happened again recently. Booked a same day reservations online in Ogunquit Maine when we arrived two hrs later they did not have our reservation and the owner was not happy that booking .com approved us for same day. We booked for a king and all she had was a queen. The next night we booked for three nights at a Hampton Inn and were charged double the cost! “Not the best choice anymore when there are others out...”

Booked a hotel in Prague for 2nd of April, horrible place, we leaved immediately. And booking has this stupid "No refund" thing. The fault was partially theirs, cause the website did not reflect the reality, the hotel was not as described. Finally, after 2 weeks they said that they will refund 50% of the total paid, but after they closed the issue without any notice. I had to send like 10 emails to customer service 5 times. Having been a fan of booking.com for years I have recently been very badly let down by them. I used them to book a room in Villa Schweiger hotel in Prague and paid in advance. When I checked my card statement I had been charged double the agreed amount and also charged a separate 'transaction fee'. After I complained the hotel refunded less than half of the overcharged amount and none of the transaction fee. I used booking.com today and trusted that I could easily contact them if I found a cheaper price. A few minutes after booking I did find a cheaper price for the exact same date, place, and type of room etc. I tried calling the number that was posted on their site, but was on hold for over 30 minutes. It is way too difficult to contact them, so I will not be using them again. I book for my whole family many times a month. I highly recommand that you reserve directly with the hotel of your choice and be aware to use only Booking.com for hotels list and prices, the raison is that somme infos are imcompleted, and by reserving on booking.com open the door for extra charges that you didn't expected. Some infos aren't explained or detailed on the website that is why if you call and deal directly with the hotel you will know exactly what you will pay for and what will you get for what you pay.
