We contacted booking.com regarding a cancelation which we were told (by one of many people we ended up talking to) that it would be no problem. In fact we were given an email stating this. Come to find out the hotel charged my credit card anyway. So armed with my email from Booking.com stating I would be refunded I began what turned out to be a three month ordeal where in the end, I still ended up paying for the hotel that I never stayed at. “Fake site with no security at all for your stored info”

This site assures that our credit card details are kept save with them. I have faced an issue with them in which there allowed free booking of hotel wherein i reserved 5 nos. of rooms at Sandalwood Hotel in Goa, India. I had not provided the cvv number to my card inspite of this they charged and recovered the amount from my credit card and on several attempts to communicate they sent me a mail to directly contact the property owner as they are not responding BOOKING.COM for the query. Booked through Bokings.com only to be booked into a property where the owner would not communicate with me or provide any details of the booking. Booking.com was of very little help in trying to resolve the issue and wanted to charge me the full amount for trying to cancel the reservation even after they could not contact the owner and confirm my reservation or any coordinating information. I booked an appartement via booking.com. There where open questions, so I called the agent via phone and asked: how many rooms (were are the beds)? is breakfast availible ? do I have to bring own bed linen and towels ? The answer was a mail, that they handed the questions to the house operator and if I need an answer, I have to call them myself. Alsevana Ayurvedic Tourist Hotel & Restaurant is a very bad spa. Prostitution has been conducts there. I have been there are the hotel and spa was too dirty. even rooms. Best advise is to stay at Hastings Holiday Inn or drive 30-minutes to Grand Island. We reserved 5-rooms because all other hotels were full in Hastings. At check in tried to charge higher rates ($135 vs $119) for each family in our party. We all paid $119 except one for $135. You can stay at a good hotel in a good town for that much! “Hidden charges”

We have used booking.com on many occasions with no issues but will not be using this site again after our stay at Gemelos 22, Benidorm in April 2015. We had issues getting the keys, first we were sent to a near by hotel only then to be sent to an office on the beach front. Once there we could not collect the keys without paying a 50 euro cleaning fee which pays to clean the apartment on departure! I reserved a hotel in San Francisco 6 months in advance. The advertisement said that I could book now and pay later. The full amount ($1200) was charged to my card immediately. The reservation also stated that I could not cancel or make changes. Two months after booking, I received an email stating that the hotel canceled my reservation. I booked a B&B in Devon and then found the price was £40 less on the B&B's own website. When I contacted Booking.com, they asked for a screenshot, which I sent. They then said that the rooms were not available when they contacted the B&B. Of course, this was because I had already booked them through Booking.com! I agree that they don't give the best deal, I know for future reference to check the hotel's own website for specials before I ever go with booking.co. ever again !! I feel totally ripped off. I paid more to stay for 3 nights than it would have cost to stay for three night with a four course evening meal each night if I hadbooked through the hotel's own website !!!

They sent me information ext. when i arrived at the hotel. the hotel had no information about our reservation and if it were not for the reservation information i had they would not have honored the price and the stay as the hotel was full. I advertised my Holiday Home with www.booking.com to my peril They NEVER take the side of the Holiday Home Owner under ANY circumstances I had valuable items stolen, even keys stolen, damage done to valuable items and they still made me pay back the security deposit. Booked accommodation and paid our deposit last year, then recently we had an email saying they couldn't take the balance from our original card, so I updated their site to pay with another card, got the same message back, so used another card but the same thing happened again. I have been trying to book hotels all week each I booked one hotel and then cancelled the next day and booked another to pay by cash on arrival with free cancelation. I then tried to book my travel and was informed by my bank that I had no money because the 2 hotels had taken pre authorisation for full payment so my money was not available so although they do not actually take the money, you cannot have access to it either ! so they may have well have taken it. We went to bookings.com to get a room at a B&B in Leesburg,Virginia. Even though we had a booking confirmation number, the queen room wasn't available. They did have a double room available, so we took it. Big mistake! The room was tiny, they didn't offer any amenities (shampoo, hair dryer, TV instructions or guide), and furniture was broken including the bedpost of the foot of the bed.
