I booked a 3 bedroom 3 bath condo that slept 12 in Door Co in WI. and received a confirmation number. Received an email less than 12 hours before our checki in time indicated there was no room available! Tried to give us two hotel rooms 30 min away. I explained we had 3 family and needed accommodations for 12. Located a two room condo, again explained we had 12 people! Received another email that basically said too bad! DO NOT USE. I booked with them on the wrong date and sent them immediate message as the website indicated. They charged me anyway and told me that they did not read my request to change nights. They refused to give me my money back or even give me my full stay. They also said that they would not charge me until I arrived. I was charged anyway. Never ever use this site !!

I am a genius member of booking.com, I have used them for years, but NEVER again....We are traveling from the US to Hogmanay in Edinburgh this year and booked our room 6 months in advance. This morning I woke up to an email telling me, our reservations had been successfully cancelled!!! We had an apartment in the center of Old Town for 500 USD, now we will be lucky to find one that we can afford!!! I am absolutely disgusted I rung the hotel to cancel due to family circumstances I asked if I would get charged they said no this morning I had £48.80 taken from my account ! that hard earned money ! “Beware of Their Reserve Button”

My daughter pressed the reserve button when looking for a hotel in London and entered her card details thinking it would save the page as a favourite. IMMEDIATELY she realised her error she called the hotel and Booking.com to explain and ask them not to process payment. Both have refused despite several requests including from the bank. I was denied room for two night reservation today even though I called their front desk to confirm last week. Nobody notified me about this until I came to check in into the room at 6:30PM after long day at SC16 conference in Salt Lake City. I booked through a referral from Travelia. I requested a reservation for Carlisle, PA. What I got was reservation for Carlisle AR, hundreds of miles for my requested motel. This was a same day booking so even though I notified both Travelia and Booking.com, neither was willing to help cancel the booking. This review is about booking.com. I booked my reservations in July 2016 for dates into December 2016. I booked with the free cancellation and was informed of one rate and even received confirmation emails with that rate. Months passed by and still the same rate only modified the check in rate which according to the hotel that doesn't affect the rate since i was requesting to check in an hour or two later than 3pm the check in time. I had to run away from the hotel that I booked through boooking.com in Athens and cancel the booking immediately since it was insecure and the photos and review shown in booking.com was misleading. I booked a hotel using booking.com for 16 nights and days in Dubai. This was, of course, after VERIFYING that there apparently were no "hidden charges or fees" in addition to what was already payed and held accountable during the checkout. However, in spite of these words, the website apparently was not at all breaking down all the fees. They will list sub par hotels on their site and will not work with you after the fact. I sent them photos of multiple issues with, The Charleston Grand in Charleston, SC and they refuse to stand by their customers. These guys are simply liars. They don't price match (even with their own website) and they offer you no security whatsoever, other than an SSL certificate. If a hotel has lied about their rating, tough - they won't change it (even if you sue the hotel and win the case stating that it was mis-sold). If a hotel goes bust and you've paid them, again - it's your tough luck. Upon arrival when entering the building the smell was awful (musty-dirty-unclean-smell coming from the carpets). Walls all in need of a coat of paint. Stairs going up to the bedrooms not clean. Bedroom did have a sea view, it was very small not clean. Bathroom cold tap would not turn off properly, mirror and shelf hanging off the wall. Shower in need of a good clean with bleach. Plans were changing quickly while trying to visit a dying relative. I made a hotel reservation the day before I was to use it then had to cancel. Booking.com had no way of getting in touch with a human person to help me. No one responded to any emails or "contact us" forms. The hotel would have gladly canceled and refunded for me but they couldn't because the reservation was made through Booking.com. I had to pay for the room since the cancelation wasn't 3 days out. My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Burlington, Ontario and it was the utterly worst stay I've ever had. Only one roll of toilet paper for two women, two towels for the whole stay, dirty sheets on the pull out couch and blood on the bed sheets when I turned down the blanket. Used this website to book long weekend for columbus day..I booked a spa tub room at hampton inn & Suites in west yarmouth .. I called the hotel a few days before to confirm they said I was all set...when we arrived we were told there were only 3 spa rooms and there were none available..we were given a different type of room.
