After booking 3 nights in Miami I received an email stating Booking.com has made an error in the price and the correct price was 3 times the confirmed booking price. They referred to their T&C's and refused to honour the original price. No compensation was offered for the distress caused. Very poor English grammar used in their correspondence. My husband booked a surprise trip for my birthday but there was a scheduling conflict so I needed to make a change to the dates. Booking.com was NOT helpful in any way.... Sure, their website states that you can make changes... no problem... Don't believe it. I booked a hotel stay in Washington DC three months in advance and I tried to amend the booking two weeks away from our stay from 7 nights to 5 nights. They said that there weren't any rooms available which is weird given that I am decreasing the already number of nights booked and not seeking additional nights. I booked three rooms in Santiago, Chile. The hotel tried to raise the quote by $30, and the most ridiculous excuse was that they tried to interpret the confirmation of "the price includes $10 cleaning fee per person per stay" in their own way (i.e., if two persons stay in one room the price does not include the cleaning fee for the second person -- despite the fact that I specified two-single bed for a room when booking). I booked 3 rooms in Venice, the price shown online was different than the price charged when I booked. The price was 18 euro per room higher, and the hotel would not refund as they said it was a non-refundable reservation. Booking admitted to the mistake (after speaking to 3 different people) but said they don't know how it happened. I now have 4 different quotes for the same reservation, confusing. I agree with this review. I booked three rooms in Santiago, Chile. The hotel tried to raise the quote by $30, and the most ridiculous excuse was that they tried to interpret the confirmation of "the price includes $10 per person per stay" in their own way -- keeping sending me emails stating that we had two persons in a room so they should charge $30 more -- even though we asked for a room of two single beds which they failed to provide. What concerns me more was that the emails were sent our using booking.com header but actually from the hotel.. This business model goes against the online trade norms and ethics.

“Cheating with Price match and poor customer care”

I have been following up with these guys for a price match enquiry. In their website they offer that they will refund the differential if we find a better price before we check in. However when I found one offer two days before my check in, they are not responding back. The phone number they showed in the website is not working and the emails are not replied. on 11 December, I booked an accommodation in Spain, through booking.com. Upon arrival, the accommodation was not as described and we had to pay the advertised rate because the owners refused any cancellation. I have complained to booking.com and still waiting for their response to refund me! I booked a 3 bedroom 3 bath condo that slept 12 in Door Co in WI. and received a confirmation number. Received an email less than 12 hours before our checki in time indicated there was no room available! Tried to give us two hotel rooms 30 min away. I booked with them on the wrong date and sent them immediate message as the website indicated. They charged me anyway and told me that they did not read my request to change nights. They refused to give me my money back or even give me my full stay. They also said that they would not charge me until I arrived. I was charged anyway. Never ever use this site !!

I am a genius member of booking.com, I have used them for years, but NEVER again....We are traveling from the US to Hogmanay in Edinburgh this year and booked our room 6 months in advance. This morning I woke up to an email telling me, our reservations had been successfully cancelled!!! We had an apartment in the center of Old Town for 500 USD, now we will be lucky to find one that we can afford!!! “Beware of Their Reserve Button”

My daughter pressed the reserve button when looking for a hotel in London and entered her card details thinking it would save the page as a favourite. IMMEDIATELY she realised her error she called the hotel and Booking.com to explain and ask them not to process payment. Both have refused despite several requests including from the bank. I was denied room for two night reservation today even though I called their front desk to confirm last week. Nobody notified me about this until I came to check in into the room at 6:30PM after long day at SC16 conference in Salt Lake City. I booked through a referral from Travelia. I requested a reservation for Carlisle, PA. What I got was reservation for Carlisle AR, hundreds of miles for my requested motel. This was a same day booking so even though I notified both Travelia and Booking.com, neither was willing to help cancel the booking. This review is about booking.com. I booked my reservations in July 2016 for dates into December 2016. I booked with the free cancellation and was informed of one rate and even received confirmation emails with that rate. I had to run away from the hotel that I booked through boooking.com in Athens and cancel the booking immediately since it was insecure and the photos and review shown in booking.com was misleading.
