SENT THIS ONCE GOT NO RESPONSE. WILL IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!! BOOKING.COM description very poor, some examples follow:- No disabled facilities. No Lift. Given room as recommended by BOOKING.COM, no mention that this room was on the top floor, We had to walk up 2 flights of stairs, with the second set of stairs narrow and wooden (suitcase had to be lifted up by two people. Found a hotel for next April in Pensacola Beach, FL. Everything stated will be charged at check in. I wasn't charged at check in I was charged at time of reservation. Booked a 4 night stay in France, got the confirmation immediately confirmed. next day the Hotel/ B& B wrote to me we can not honour your booking as we are already full, please cancel your booking. I went on line to book a stay at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool - as I live in st annes lancs, we were unable to go abroad that year as he was very ill - Booking.com came up at half price - with writing too small for the naked eye - room only - when the Imperial don't do a room only at Christmas. so we had wasted time and £450 - the hotel had to help us get a refund, as was £900 for 3 nights inclusive. it was our last Christmas together, it caused us a lot of stress, I wish we had booked… Read Full Review

“Reserved , but never got apartment”

We booked over booking.com "Lee Aartments" in Tallin in the morning and I got sms confirmation on my phone.After we came to Tallin in front of the apartment we called owner of this apartment. First he didn't answer on the phone and after 10 minutes he called back.He didn't know to speak English at all ,just Estonian and Russian,thanks God I knew some Russian. Booked a hotel and cancelled it per their policy on line and still got charged by the hotel. Both parties, booking.com and Microtel said they didnt get notice it was done so $300 down the drain. no help whatsoever from booking dot com. We used Booking.com for the first time to plan our 10th wedding anniversary trip nearly 2 months in advance. Upon arriving that night the hotel had no knowledge of our reservation that I had made. Booking.com sent me at least three emails confirming my stay was all set up. When I attempted to contact them via phone, there was a 27 min wait only to deal with a rep who was completely unprofessional and more like a interrogator. It seems booking.com create their own creative exchange rates! They advertised in my local (NZD) currency a room rate, yet when received the booking confirmation in USD there was quite an unexpected difference! I contacted their call centre and the staff member agreed it didn't look good. So best to book directly with the hotel ... it the price looks too good you may now know why. “Does not protect customers”

I made a reservation with Booking.com for a Germany hotel in December. The reservation stated that it was fully cancelable until November 5 and that no money was was due until I checked in. The hotel charged my card for 10 euros TWICE!. I contacted Booking and after FIVE days they still had not resolved it. I booked a one-night stay through booking.com Due to family illness, I was not able to make the trip I had planned. Booking.com would not refund my booking.com price of $165. They referred me to the hotel I was booked at. I made my booking in July for a room in Paris in mid September. Now that my trip is getting closer, I was just checking the hotel's website for their address, and out of curiosity put in my date and found that my room is $100 cheaper than what I paid with booking.com (their website brings you directly to an Orbitz page for their hotel). To give you a perspective, we live in Aberdeen and had gone to Edinburgh for a weekend and take my children to Zoo. Booking.com is a completely useless service. Booked accommodation a week in an advance (to visit my sick mum in hospital). Turned up to find the hotel had no rooms for us. Booking.com failed to make sure we were notified. We couldn't answer their two missed calls as were driving. They could have texted - no good sending an email as couldn't access them on the road. I did so and the motel said they could do nothing and only Booking.com could make the change. I once again contacted Booking.com through the website and was told they would contact the motel. They were deceptive. I looked for a hotel that could accommodate 5 people. They advertised the Anaheim Majestic Hotel for 5 occupants. When we got to the hotel they told us it cost $14.00 to park our car and then told us it cost an additional $14.00 dollars day to have an additional bed for the 5 th person. That is unfair and deceptive. $28 per day more than advertised. What a rip off.

I booked a hotel in New York (the same way I've booked numerous hotels in Europe and the UK) and was shown a price of £967. I booked instantly and confirmed this is the price for the hotel. I happened to check my credit card and I've been charged £1132.
