“Exchange rate display fraudulent”

I got slapped with huge fees after booking with booking.com Consider the way booking.com discloses the currency in which you'll have to pay (only displayed after hovering over a visually subdued link) and the currency that you selected beforehand in the currency selection menu, which is big and bold on your receipt. Booking.com is intentionally misleading consumers in fraudulent manner here and certainly doesn't deserve your trust!… Read Full Review

As a hotel owner I have found Bookings.com to be the worst company I have ever used for booking client reservations. Everything about their system is Pro "Booking.com." Their number 1 priority is commissions. They quite often overbook your hotel and their system is full of conflicts. If you have any other choice in making a hotel reservation I would suggest finding an alternative source. I booked the fritz hotel for my vacation based upon the fact they had ocean view rooms with balconies. The picture clearly shows a bed with doors leading out to what appears to be a balcony. I called booking.com to verify and was told I had a balcony, only to find I was on the first floor with a partial view and no balcony. I asked for the manager to call me back. He did not. I would strongly recommend not to use booking.com as they failed to pass on my booking details to Edinburgh Village Urban Resort and it took me TWO hours to then check in. I have since been in contact with booking.com to resolve the situation, who have not been helpful at the least. I booked a Saturday night stay on Booking .com for June 2015, which was confirmed by email Three hours later I had a call from The Hotel saying that at a weekend they only booked A two night stay. It was the last time I use booking.com Cannot believe how irresponsible Booking.com was by having hotels that does not exist. This place was unclean. The towels were liberally stained. The surrounding rooms tenants were loud and inconsiderate well into the night. Also, they evidently had an agreement with the local police department which allowed police trainees to practice intimidating customers with police dogs. If you think you have a reasonable right to privacy, you would be better off anywhere other than here. I have booked throught this webpage a Villa on Boracay island. When i arrived there with my family, nobody at the reception knew about the reservation and said that its fully booked! So we had to look for another accommodation on the spot, with 6 months old daughter in extremely hot environment. On the booking.com website, the Italian hotel specified that there would be no booking charge, deposit or cancellation fee for the room for at least 45 days. My trip is months away (captured screen grabs). Within three days my bank account was charged the full cost of the room. I had a problem with writing a review for two of the hotels I stayed in last year. I will not go into details as this was discussed in great length with the support. Eventually though, after many promised and tossing me around, the problem was never fixed and they just decided to forget about it. I love the site, or more precisely loved it before. First of all: booking.com does not do bookings - it forwards them automatically by IT to the hoteliers... Because they want to have a direct handcuff for the customer, they confirm at once - in the name of the hotelier - regardless, what the hotelier wishes. Worst booking service ever! Asked for hotel in Chadstone Melbourne got one in Bayswater Melbourne 2 hrs away from the centre of Melbourne. Not counting time getting to train station total journey about 3 hrs!
