V Australia would have to be the worst airline in the skies. Stuffed around from start to finish. Never again. Thank goodness we have Qantas, Air New Zealand, United, China Airlines and JAL. From Melb via Sydney is a total nightmare. Take my advice and select Qantas or one of the other airlines. I visit the US at least once a year and have flown with all the above airlines - never had any problems. V Australia cabin crew just terrible. Snooty, arrogant and rude. Never, never, never again. Search the "net" and you will find fares just as cheap if not cheaper.

V-Australia Business Class - SYD > LAX and return. The equal of QANTAS at 60% of the price. Very comfortable flat beds, good inflight entertainment, good (although not great) food and booze. Staff were young and a little wet behind the ears, but eager to please and delightful.
Usual Virgin humour abounds and can be a little groan inducing at times...example "Look, a flying saucer" written on the saucers, and the music played constantly in the toilets...examples heard...Blondie's Tide is High ( ...- Read RBH58's review (126 words)

Flying Sydney to LA was faultless. Great plane, plenty of room, friendly service. Entertainment system was amazing, great choices and easy to use. Return leg was delayed at LAX by about 1.5 hrs. There was no communication from staff as to the reason. We were then delayed by 40 mins on ground at Mascot - however, the captain and first officer kept us all informed every 15mns or so. Note that the flight departs from Terminal 3 at LAX - a domestic terminal, so no duty-free after you pass security ...- Read Guest's review (160 words)

I flew LA to Brisbane return in Economy with V Australia, and I'm happy to say V Australia rocks! The seats are significantly wider than normal economy, the leg room is fine, and the entertainment system is the best. Brand new shiny planes too.If only they could fly direct to San Francisco - then I'd be happy to ditch qantas forever. In fact even if they allowed connecting flights to San Francisco I'd probably ditch qantas.- Read Guest's review (165 words and 1 comment)

After years or flying Qantas I reluctantly gave V Australia a go. I must say that I just wanted to try them out and never thought that I would make them my airline of choice for the Pacific. I have completely changed my tune and will never fly Qantas again. We're really comparing chalk and cheese. V Australia was fantastic. Flight was near full capacity but check-in was very fast and easy. Flight left on time. Staff were amazing and made me feel very comfortable in economy. I'm sure the seats ar ...- Read WadeJeremy's review (291 words)

Took the flight from LAX-SYD on 16/3. The experience in economy class was way better than expected in comparison to my earlier SYD-LAX flight with Qantas. I will definitely fly with them again. Brand new 777-300ER planes featuring larger windows and mood lighting.Large 16:9 video on-demand LCD individual screens in economy class, each with USB powered port.Spacious economy seats with very good leg room space.Self-serve snack bar full of chips and biscuits.Good selection of food available.Spaciou ...- Read Guest's review (107 words and 1 comment)

These guys were great!! Very very very fast check-in, very very very very nice crew, I guess that's why they put "V".Enjoyable 14 hour flight, and I will DEFINITELY fly with them again. Their partner Virgin America in USA is fantastic too!!! Cheers to Richard Branson, on a hugely successful flight.- Read Guest's review (89 words)
