“Badly Let Down”

I used Karen's cards a couple of years ago for my parents Golden Wedding party - excellent. So naturally when looking for invitations and bridal favours I chose Karens cards. Invitations arrived and was happy but despite numerous e-mails - with no response - no favours received - thats £71 that has just disappeared. Same experiences as everyone else by the looks of it. Ordered invitations in January finally got them end of April. Quality of invitations was poor- RSVP cards smudged and overall appearance bland- certainly get what you pay for. I could have done better myself if I had tried!!! 6 weeks to go to the wedding and no post box or guest book. The last email I have threatened legal action if I don't get a responce or a refund. This is so upsetting. It was the first thing I did for my wedding after booking the venue. Last year I ordered our save the date cards with her and I was very impressed. So in January I ordered our wedding invitations, o how things went down hill from here! We didnt receive the invitations till weeks after we ordered them,one reason being she did the colours wrong and had to change all of them. Since I placed an order with Karen's Cards they are no longer accepting any new orders. What a surprise!!!! I paid for Fast Delivery (7-10 days)invites did not arrive until over a month later. This was our second attempt at invites for my daughter's wedding having been 'scammed' on first attempt. I spent ages looking for my stationery. Hard to go with someone who is so cheap when you see other people charging £3-4 an invite. I took the plunge, a gamble if you like and it paid off. I spent £190 on invites, place cards and a guestbook and post box. Was it well made? Yes Was it worth it? yes. I ordered a hen album for my friend's wedding to give to her from her bridesmaids on the morning of her wedding. I ordered it 3 months ago, having been told by Karen that it would be with me in 4-5 weeks. The wedding was 6 weeks ago - the album is still not here. We ordered the All that Sparkles and Sophisticated wedding invitations. We were very happy with both sets of cards, they are very nice and well done. Unfortunately, whilst the cards are very nice, the service we received wasn’t the best. Now we knew there would be a delay as Karen told us she was mowed out with orders so we ordered using the express delivery, as Karen told us the invitations would come within a couple of weeks. I booked KC in Feb 2011 for my October wedding, and from start to finish its been hassle free. THe only error that was made was I changed my delivery address as I moved and it was sent to my old address, luckily i didnt live far... Placed an order to be told 3 weeks later that the items i required were unavail. The promised me a refund immediately & i am still waiting 4 weeks later. The price seemed very good value compared to other sites and printers. However I had to wait six weeks for them to arrive and when they did 1 in 3 were smudged. It was too late to order more by then. No response at all to two emails to complain. We also ran out of invites. I didn't count them as some had already gone out but I wonder if there weren't enough sent. Would not recommend. I ordered my save the date cards from Karen's Cards and initially was very impressed with both the cards and the time in which it took to receive them. Karen had very good customer service (I thought) which is why I chose to order through her.
I then ordered my wedding invitations on the 20th of March this year (my wedding is at the end of August) thinking that it would be no time at all before I received them. Its now over 8 weeks later and I am yet to hear anything yet.

I ordered 10 save the date cards to check the quality, and service and was really impressed with the service.
I have now 7 months on ordered & received my invites, I am so happy with them I actually cried! I ordered daytime invites in the traditional design with funky RSVP and evening invites Karen did me a save the date type evening invite with some stars on for our budget.
My dad paid for it all and is so impressed that he is paying for me to have all the reception...

Ordered a bauble in February, very bad communication with no expected date for despatch. Chased with numerous emails and eventually received an email 2 months later saying would refund that day having paid by paypal, 2 weeks later and still waiting for a refund!
Such shocking service and lack of communication. I like to support independent traders but in future I will do my research carefully before buying again!

Although the end product was good from Karen's Cards, the stress in getting them, at a time when the least amount of stress is better, was shocking!
Started very well with email correspondence slow but acceptable. We joined up to the site and received an email which offered us a 10% discount, which then (surprise surprise!) didn't work.

There is no phone number given on the website so I had no other way of getting hold of her - ended up having to ask a few guests for their cards back so I could send them on again - very stressful start to my wedding plans! Really really good save the dates, I ordered them early Jan and they arrived yesterday. Only little (slight) thing is I requested magnetic and they wasn't. Its been quickly sorted though and I asked for the magents to be refunded as I cant wait to get them out!

This is not a good company to place an order with, In April 2010 I placed an order & received the wrong goods, a cheaper version. After 4 months and 6 emails I still have not received the goods I ordered & paid for, & not had a refund as promissed.
I would use another company that can deliver the goods you order correctly.

They came late even though I'd paid extra to get the Fast Delivery and although I was promised a refund of the money I'd paid for the cards I never got and the 'fast delivery' I also never got - the cheque never appeared!
