Ok, first of all i'd like to say i am a Ricky Gervais fan, and therefor i may be slightly bias towards this review.

I actually paid something like 75 pounds to sit in a lounge, but when i got there nobody would tell us where it was.. We were passed from pillar to post and noone seemed to know! Very un-helpful. 45 odd pound extra for nothing.

The first canadian guy that came on i found actually quite funny....For the first 15 or 20 minutes or so. Why this had to go on for 30 odd minutes was beyond me. He just did one liner after one liner.. Nothing strung together very well at all, but he was funny so it wasnt too bad.

Then after waiting a while to finally see ricky, we had to wait another 30 minutes for another break!

Ok i was getting slightly impatient at this point.

After finally waiting the show began. Now the first little video about the c*m drinking wasnt funny at all. To me anyway.. The overall show was very funny though, the entire audience seemed to enjoy it and so did i. I DID feel it was short, and that there was a lot of time wasting, and although some of the material was SIMILAR* to previous shows, it still had an origonal vibe to it!

Now, i was STILL happy i went regardless of the slight annoyances, as it was a good night out. HOWEVER* there was one or two little jokes i thought wrong.. Like the little girl and her dad.. Wasnt really funny, more disturbing.. I also didnt really find the 'blobula' lady pleasuring herself in her stockings to be funny either.

    Was it overpriced? - Yes
Was it bad overall? - No
Was i happy when i left? Yes
Would i go again? - Absolutely.
Was "Ricky" - "Ricky!"? - Definitley. (The short, arrogant funny man who has no fear or insulting anybody.)

Overall enjoyed it, there are both bad and good points but i wouldnt by any means say i was unhappy about the entire experience.

Having looked forward to seeing him for months we were very disapointed with the show. First we had the Canadian comedian for about 30 minutes who was very poor followed imediatly by a 30 minute interval.
Ricky Gervais then came on and other than the Noah's Ark story which was quite good but similar to his previous God creating the earth routine the rest was just not very funny. Ricky Gervais came over as not caring much and arrogant. The quip about "How is the recesion going then?" was out of o ...

I was very excited to see Mr Gervais and managed to get my tickets well in advance. I agree with many of the other reviews, I left very dissapointed!! I think the tickets were very overpriced at £30.00 each for only 55min stand-up, which unfortunately wasnt all that great or funny!!
He didnt interact with the audience atall, in fact I thought he came over rather arrogant and uninterested to be there. Shame as he is clearly a very talented person, but lost it on this on

Extremely disappointing. It looked like more effort had gone into the actual set than the material. Came away feeling slightly ripped off. I could not believe the part of the show where he analysed the Noah's Ark book - it was the kind of humour any school boy could come up with - not what you would expect from a professioal ! Come on Ricky, put some effort in and write something with more originality and depth; you are better than this.

    We were really disappointed.
£30 and not many real, genuine, fresh laughs. First off it takes a long time to get Ricky on stage. We are 'ironically' treated to 20mins of promos for the Office, new movie and P.E.T.A - WTF?! Ticket said 7.30, there is a funny support (best bit of the night) but be warned Gervais isn't on till 8.30.
On last night's showing, he is so not worth the wait.
Then he finally comes out and has a go at Amanda Holden's authority to be a talent judge on Britain's Got ...

i would like to start by saying his show was really funny, but nothing to do with science, more like bits out his previous shows switched up a bit..
what really anoyed me and most people i rekon was he only did 50 minutes or there abouts.. he seemed to rush through and couldnt wait to leave, you could tell it was go on stage do his show word for word then leave as soon as possible... most people also do signings in the secc but ricky after knocking these people left right away... and some peopl ...

Vulgar to be honest Ricky Gervais is funnier as a writer rather than a stand up, seemed to lose direction often.
