Ther are No.1 cheat with respect to exchange rate that they offer and shown in website. As well as all the promos that they advertise it is cheating. So I don't reccommend to use this service. So keep distance from remit2india is my advice. Axisremit from the same times group is way better in excahnge rates and also they charge no trasnfer fees.

I have been living in the United Kingdom for last 10 years. Coming here was a choice but going back was not. I could not be there for my family in India but worked hard so that I can send money to India. I was in the search of a portal that offered me cheap money transfer to India.
I used some other site but unfortunately it turned out to be a fraud and I failed to send money online to India. One of my colleagues came to know of this and recommended remit2india to me. That was the last day I w ...- Read shomitrabanerjee's review (253 words)

Remit2India show a different rate on their website and when money is transfered they post 40 paise less on each $ you send. I mean the rate is already low and then they charge you more money every transaction.
I got in touch with their support and they were rude and totally unhelpful.

I sent money to India from Australia on 6th December and I am still waiting for the DD to arrive to my family in India. Its been exactly 1 month now and I dont know whether my money will ever arrive. If they don't deliver the money within the next 1 week I am going to complain to fairtrading and probably have their bank account in Australia seized to recover my money. I do NOT trust them at all. I will never use them again, paying $10 to my bank is FAR better than using remit2India.- Read Jacobisahottie's review (121 words and 1 comment)

Remit2india.com is in my opinion not reliable to send money to India. In my case I booked to Transfer US $11001 on 30th Oct 2008 they said I will get exchange rate of 31stOCT2008 at 7:15 IST. The rate they published on that day was 49.32 INR/1 US$. I also checked the rate on xe.com on that day and it was almost same (49.36 INR/1 US$).But in actual I got remittance was 46.56 INR/1 US$ which is ~7% less than what I suppose to get. This 46.56 is never before and after the at least 30 days the trans ...- Read rajusurat's review (99 words)

I love the 'my exchange rate' program on remit2india. Also I like the mobile alerts. whenever I send money to sum1 in India I get an sms telling me my money has reached the person on time, also the person I send money to also gets an sms. This is simply amazing. It makes me comfortable since I do not need to keep checking back home to ensure that the money has reached the rite person on time!- Read arvindrai's review (82 words)

I usually had a lot of delays when remitting money to India and the same fears were uppermost in my mind the first time I used remit2india... I was wrong and the money reached on time. The best part was the online status tracker option. With other sites I would never be able to find out wht happened to my money. Bt with remit2India it's so easy, all I had to do was log on 2 the Status tracker and I would get knw where my funds were stuck. Am happy am a remit2india customer!- Read roshinisakhrani's review (111 words)
