I owned it for about 8 months then the power kept turning off before it had heated the water, Took it in for warranty and they said it could not be repaired so they replaced it. New replacement lasted again for 8 months and the same thing happened. I am off to get the second unit replaced. Not a very good track record.????

Same problem, my cuisinart cordless kettle just stopped working after about 9 months. Very disappointed. I was getting concerned that the base was getting too hot when in use, especially if the kettle was not quite seated properly on the base. Still, now have a non-functional kettle and so will send off to see if they cover the repair?

I am very disappointed that my Cuisinart CJK-17 stopped working within its warranty period. Now I not only have to use something else to heat the water for my tea but travel 2 hours and wait several weeks for repair if in fact it can be repaired. If not then I must begin the search again to find a new one.
