So, purchased a folding shower screen from this outfit 4 years ago. Quite a straight forward purchase at the time I seem to remember. However, the screen recently came apart at one of the hinges and although it would have either had a 10 year or lifetime manufacturers guarantee Splashdirect are not interested in helping me because they say they are under new ownership.

We bought a similar folded shower screen almost three years ago and exactly the same thing happened at one of the hinges, nearly injuring my child. Despite the same screen being sold on this new site with new owners they are telling me that my screen came from China so it's not their problem. I pointed out that the screen is the same but she wasn't having it. What are our consumer rights here? I'm livid!

“company ceased to trade”

I paid toiletstuff on this website last week, but did not received it, called not answer, email them reply the company ceased to trade, I was shocked, call training standard, they need this website real company name and company regirst no. I really do not know what can I do next, called my bank, they also need investigate, do not know when can i get my money back, the confusing thing is that this website is still actived, if some relative department should do something to stop more people continue to purchase in this website.

this happened to me too - I ordered £95 of stuff on 11 March, nothing since. The legal entity behind the website is still active on Companies House. It is a criminal offence for Directors to run a business they know is no longer a going concern

“DO NOT ORDER WITH SPLASH DIRECT - PERIOD”

I ordered on line on the 16th February (back to wall WC/ shower tray & glass shower cubicle) a week after ordering I had a phone call to say they couldn't get the shower tray as their supplier had a fire and could no longer get it, but they agreed to send out an alternative within 4-6working days. To cut a really long story short after numerous emails chasing the goods which they had charged me for, by the 19th March I'd had enough and I tried to re-contact this company by phone, however I was confronted by a voice mail sayng they were trialing an email only system (alarm bells start ringing). At this point I'm not getting any email responces so I try the live chat link and manage to get I touch with someone who after a battle agrees to give me a full refund. 2 weeks on we still havent received our money and worse still we now can't get in touch with anyone at this company. I have since found the name of the managing director and wrote to him on LinkedIn, I await to see if he replies. Do not get sucked in by the affordable prices, it'll be the dearest non existent order you'll ever not receive. I'm now seeking legal advice and our bank is getting involved.

“WORST ON LINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD”

I was sucked in by the "too good to be true price" Payment taken. No confirmation of order. No response to three emails despite promise of response in 24 hours. Unable to speak to them - if you try the number it's a recorded message saying they are trialling "this week" only dealing with queries by email. Promise a response in 24 hours or if it's sales related within 1 hour. I have tried three times and no response each time. I'm going to now ask my credit card company to suspend the payment and I have also flagged them with Hertfordshire office of fair trading My advice to anyone is don't use them, save your self the hassle and stick with a trusted retailer

“Do not buy”

After purchasing goods of over £100 it was delivered but was faulty been waiting now for new goods to arrive but not heard anything, i have tried phoning,emailing and live chat nothing. Its a disgusting service we are £100 down and dont know what to do for the best we have been waiting and waiting but personally think its a waste of time.

ORDERED MY ITEM ON 13TH MARCH, WITH 4 DAY DESPATCH TIME. NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER! EMAILED THREE TIMES FOR AN UPDATE, BUT NO REPLY DESPITE SAYING THAT THEY WILL RESPOND WITHIN 24 HRS.THE TELEPHONE NUMBER PROVIDED SUGGESTS YOU EMAIL.WHAT IS THE POINT !.THEY DO NOT RESPOND. THIS IS THE WORST ON LINE SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, AND INTEND TO TAKE THE MATTER FURTHER SHOULD MY ITEM NOT ARRIVE IN A REASONABLE TIME. MY ITEM WAS OVER £100 AND IT PROMISED A 25 PER CENT DISCOUNT AT CHECK OUT. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AND FULLPRICE AND DELIVERY WAS CHARGED, BUT STILL NO ITEM DELIVERED. I WOULD REOMMEND THAT YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH THOROUGHLY BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY, AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - my order has not been received for over 2 weeks, you can't ring them, as they no longer take calls, all you can do is email and they don't reply. Very suspicious. I have had to file a Paypal claim to get my money back.

“DON'T DO IT!!”

If you are thinking of dealing with splashdirect or Ebaths.online think again, I wish I had research their service prior to dealing with them. I received my goods late and incomplete, I sent an endless amount of emails (which allegedly are replied to within 24hrs) with still no reply. The telephone number is a message advising you to contact via email, because this is a more personal service...apparently. After checking on various on-line review forums I can see that this is a common occurrence, with many people not receiving goods and in many cases never receiving a refund, is this not criminal? I am now attempting to get a refund for the shower tray which is still outstanding. This is being done via 'Paypal', so anyone thinking of dealing with these people..all I can say is DON'T DO IT!!

“The same unbelievably bad experience as others.......”

Ordered a mirrored cabinet with 4-5 days delivery. Delivery date went by and no delivery or contact from the company. No reply to emails other than automatic "We will answer your query within 24 working hours. Rest assured, that your query is of the utmost importance to us, and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible". Held in queue on phone so gave up. Eventually got through. They apologised and put it down to computer problems. Told to expect delivery in 7-10 days some 3 weeks after ordering. Arrived this morning in totally inadequate, flimsy packaging,dented and with bits of smashed mirror falling out of the box. Now when you ring a voice says that in order to improve the service to customers they only respond to emails. I can only conclude that this company is in trouble. I have asked for a refund or will open a dispute with Paypal. Wish I had read the other reviews before ordering.

“Misrepresentation, terrible customer service!”

Mispresentation of stock availability and delivery times on website caused me significant costs and delays. I was only informed the day of expected delivery that it was in fact out of stock and would not be delivered for another 4 days when I had workmen at the ready to install the goods. This caused me significant costs and delays and when I relayed this to the customer service team there was no resolution or even sincere apology offered. Stay away!

SplashDirect will take your money for goods and next day delivery even if those goods are not in stock. If you want something next day, I would call to be sure they actually have it in stock. Otherwise they will take your money and make you wait 7 days to get it back. Splashdirect have £240 of mine for a shower tray and next day delivery which according to their website is still in stock, but isn't. If they do the same to enough customers and keep their money for 7 days, they'll have a tidy sum in their account.

“Appalling customer service & only part of my order...”

Only part of my order for a shower cubicle was delivered within the 3 days promised. Due to parts being missing, we have been waiting now for 6 weeks with a stripped bathroom and the inconvenience that brings. Despite around 20 phone calls and multiple promises that the missing parts would be delivered every few days, I am still without them, 6 and a half weeks later. Even this week I have been promised on three separate occasions by their customer services that the items would be with me this week and been lied to each time. They don't even have the courtesy to phone back when they say even if it is to let you know not to stay in for yet another promised delivery that doesn't occur. Do not trust this company with your money, do not expect to get everything you have ordered, and for goodness sake do not believe a word that their customer service team tell you. Very disappointed and I will be talking to trading standards shortly.

“terrible on all fronts”

Website didn't put purchase through, kept coming up with an error. I phoned up customer services immediately after failed attempt to put order through. This person said there had been a glitch and in effect I had paid 3 times which I was assured would be sorted out (which it was). I was told this order had partly gone through and would be completed manually. I received nothing after several weeks and emailed several times to find out what was happening. My order arrived 28 days later. The large package had a big hole in one side which I did not notice immediately as the side presented to me was not damaged. On opening the package the curved shower pole was scratched, the ends of the pole crimped and the chrome finish poor. It was hard to tell what was damage and what was poor quality of the pole. The curtain rings were in a package already cut open and there was a shower curtain I had not ordered included. The shower pole fixings were however missing meaning further delays even if it was satisfactory. At this point I decided to return the order but now this is turning into a saga of its own, emails and photos, emails and photos; customer service what customer service!

A while back I needed to choose, coordinate and order various fittings including two toilets, a bath, a shower cubicle with tray and screens, bathroom cabinets and accessories for a pair of bathrooms that were being renovated at my parent's home. Seeing as I live abroad I needed a company that could take care of the order and in addition offer some guidance that all the fittings worked together besides ensuring we had information as to how they would be fitted by others without my supervision. Splashdirect were able to provide confirmation of all dimensions and materials ahead of my placing the order. This was very useful as I wouldn't be able to check the products nor the installation until they had already started work on.site. All went well, all fittings from the several manufacturers chosen were all well coordinated. This is where the help I received by phone and e-mail was invaluable. We did receive a shower head unit that had a fault in it. A quick phone call and it was replaced as soon as, no quibble. In the end I was sufficiently happy with the products and service that I even ordered a Crescent shower rod with fixings each time I moved apartments in Spain! Also turns out the carriage charge was cheaper than If I had tried to arrange delivery myself. So, all good! J

“Disgusting level of service”

Recently order some goods, payment was taken immediately. Nothing had arrived after 3 weeks, company contacted who told me goods had been despatched. This turned out to be untrue and was later told that they were waiting for the goods to come in stock with a delivery within the week. Did not happen. Contacted them for a refund. Still nothing happened. Since contacted them via email with attention to the Managing Director. So far no reply. Stay away from this company. It is diabolical.

I ordered a shower screen. The wrong one was delivered. I returned it and have phoned constantly asking when the right one will be delivered. I have received no replies to my emails and never receive any of the promised call backs. They have my money, I have no shower screen. Beware!

“Poor Customer Service”

I purchase a bathroom suite from Splash several weeks ago. It arrived with no problems. However after installing my new sink I notices the ceramic coating is quite uneven which was not noticeable previous. I contacted Splash and they said I had installed it so no refund. I find that a little hard to swallow as the sink does haver a manufacturing fault. The real sting in the tail is I searched around for another sink the same (Carlton 2-tap hole) and to my surprise I could actually purchase the same sink for less than half the price I paid for from Spalsh!!!!!!!!!!!! Splash is claiming the sink is already on offer. I feel the site quotes price that are FAKE and hence just fleece people. I have contacted Trading Standards so cross fingers. The customer services is no John Lewis either. The telephone operators are cold and sound quite unprofessional generally. The power of the internet............
