General comments: RLT 69 - RLT watch co, is a small company in Bridlington [UK]. They design and build only small amounts of watches, many of them being limited editions.
My watch reviewed today is the RLT 69, a homage in design to the British military issued watches of the late 60s, a lot like the famous Smiths W10. It features a quality eta hacking, hand wound movement.
Only 100 of these [rlt 69] watches were made, which is great as you know that its not likely you would bump into someone with the same watch as you. On the case back the watch is also engraved with its model name, and also its number.
As said these are a lot like the smiths w10 watch in design, which as you would expect from a military design is simple, but very pleasing to the eye and also has the benefit of being very easy to see what the time is. With its high quality Matt black dial and clear white numbers its a very classy looking watch, the lume on the watch is very good, although the numbers are not lumed, the hands are classic 60s style and are very attractive. Written on the dial is RLT Watch Co, and on the bottom of the face is MADE IN ENGLAND, which is makes a great change to Swiss made etc.
Overall the watch is very well made, and supplied on a G10 [nato] military strap.
Accuracy is very good, due to the quality eta, hacking, hand wound movement.
Only bad thing to me would be the crystal was only available in acrylic, for the classic look. Or domed mineral glass. These are both fine but it would of been nice to have a sapphire glass option.
Overall i recommend the RLT watch company, for there excellent watches. I also highly recommend tracking down the rlt 69.
