Good Points: - Humorous- Entertaining- Few stage directions- Minimal Staging Requirements
Bad Points: - Rita searches for "meaning" but completes her eductaion and promptly forgets about her search, happy to have found "Choice".- References obscure english literature, isolating the less "well read" audience.- Very small scope, concerned with the lives of two particular individuals.
General comments: Anyone else see the irony that Rita completes a degree in english literature, making her comlpletely qualified to be a hairdresser, or perhaps a waitress?

Overrall, Education Rita was boring, predictable, and a waste of time.

The play is very interesting, easy read and specially fun!
I am not very much of a play-reader but this one did catch my attention. When we we told about it during English A1 Higher level in my IB course, the whole class sighed. After the first 2 pages of reading i got into it and couldn't stop until i finished it.
Great play!
Great Read.
I highly recommend it.

Willy Russell, Educating Rita is a great play and I have just read it after being leant it by a relative who has studied it for AS levels. We were both in complete shock that the examining boards have managed to select a book that will actually appeal and interest to younger people! It really is a play that will captivate readers across a broad spectrum of age groups. This book certainly appealed to me and it did to the students reading it according to my relative! Great use of humour in the pla ...
