I washed a new cream duvet cover at 40 degrees after visiters at Christmas, and was horrified to see it appear as if bleach had been tipped on it when I hung it out. I sent it to Persil to evaluate whose reply was:-Optical brighteners, or fluroescers, are present in most detergents and used correctly, (as it was) will have an overall whitening effect. It's small so it's a real space saver, but its concentrate is still really gentle on my baby's skin. He has no reaction to it at all, so it's really nice not having to worry any more about what product I'm using to wash the clothes which are closest to his skin and so are most likely to cause a reaction. Even though it's a non-bio the scent is lovely - and its cleaning power is impressive. It gets butterut squash stains out of the necklines of his vests - quite a feat! I really like the... “Persil Small but not quite mighty”

I am a Bzz Agent and have been trying the product for free. I must say I used to use Persil Small and Mighty if it was on offer at my local Supermarket and it didn't really have an impact on me. I usually buy the cheapest clothes washing product at that point in time as apart from the smell I always think that they are all much the same. As a bzzagent i was given a free sample to trial, im normally a liquid capsule user so was sceptical of the mess a liquid would create, i was suprised that it was actually mess free once i had managed to get the dosind cap off! You do have to balance it well in the washer though. I always use a larger dose of liquid as i have a 7kg washer, the clothes came out smelling fresh and dried lovely and soft. This product did not remove stains after 2 attempts on a 95C boil wash. The second time using more liquid - Probably ok for laundry without stains, but otherwise it's useless. (read more)

The hype around this product is typically enough to get you to buy only to be disappointed. Regardless of the time period and the advertised claims about blood stains etc only hot long washes work and they work with the cheap washing liquid. Tried the lower temp an 60 minute washes only to be left with dirty washing!!! (read more)

This stuff is rubbish. It does not work and it smells awful. I wash most of my clothes after one wear and sometimes there may be a small cooking splash stain or similar on them. Persil small and mighty doesn't touch them, even at 60 degrees! I wonder, if the same company also makes stain remover products, maybe they want you to buy those as well so they can make even more money out of you. I will not buy this again. (read more)

I decided to try Persil Small and Mighty as it was on special offer at my local supermarket, and I'd also seen it advertised on Television. Well it's definitely small, but it's not very mighty, and I found that I had to use twice the recommended amount to get it to do a half decent job on my dirty washing. It didn't remove even the lightest of stains, and I had to wash the last bundle of clothes twice as it hadn't actually cleaned them properly. The one good thing about this product is that... Normally I am very pleased with Persil products. If you use 3x as much as stated on the bottle, it cleans really well, otherwise you will need to re-wash anything with a mark more than once, and if you do not get the cloths dry straight away, your clothes will smell worse than they did before they were washed (read more)

i have bought the Persil small and mighty 2x concentrated liquid and am amazed at how it does not work at all!!! I have a 2.5 year old son who loves ice lollies and a 7 month old daughter who is weaning and constantly pulls off her bibs. So lots of food stains on my children's clothes. I have always used powders in the past but decided to try a liquid detergent and i am not happy at all. Things come out of the laundry looking as bad as when they went in. I have used Persil for years more recently the liquid form because my last washing machine used so little water the powder didn't dissolve and the gel tabs ruined a few towels by bonding to the fabrics. My last buy was a 1.5 litre of Small & Mighty,; sounded good, use less product so less environmental impact on all levels. (read more)

I have a front loader washer so my choices are fewer than top loaders.
I am half way through my first carton of Persil Small and Mighty and I think we are being taken for fools.
I have never had to do so many rewashes as I have with this product.Im very upset about it. (read more)

Persil Small and Mighty is absolutely fantastic. I used the Persil liquidgel capsules, however they come in a plastic container which was big and bulky. This stuff really works. The liquidgel capsules used to leave a slimy residue on my clothes in a wool wash.
'The Small and Mighty' is aptly named. (read more)
