Good Points: Non-stop action.
Bad Points: Incredibly stupid plot and a totally ridiculous ending. I didn't know whether I should laugh or cry when our hero and heroin were saved by sub sea volcano, erupting just at the right time (sorry about the spoiler). But hey, we should probably expect stuff like this from a writer who tosses heroes out of helicopters from 3000 feet without shutes and lets them land without so much as a heavy breathing in the Tiber (Angels and Demons).
Brown has given Rachel an IQ in the mensa range, and still lets her miss conclusions and deductions that would be obvious even to the dullest of us.
General comments: 1 point for the pace. Reading "Deception Point" was the a true waste of time.

I read this one after the Da Vinci Code and needless to say, I had great expectations of Dan Brown...
He didn't disappoint me!
An amazing, realistic plot with ordinary people, plus lots of twists and turns, will not let you keep the book down till you reach the end. As usual someone gets killed at the first chapter so you hardly get any chance to settle down. Here Dan tells you a story of deception at its gigantic best; thus making Deception Point a perfect title! There is hardly a dull momen ...- Read abhishek15's review (226 words)

This is one of the best thrillers I have ever read, combining politics and science into a fantastic plot line, which uses conspiracy and twists and turns to send the reader on an enthralling rollercoaster ride of emotions.
I would recommend Dan Brown's Deception Point.- Read SRM's review (123 words)

Deception Point is a good thriller, although there was a give away mistake to the masterminds identity half way through.
Dan Brown refers to the mastermind all the way through as "the controller", leading the reader to be torn between a female character and a male character under Suspicion until the final few chapters.
After about 250 pages, the writer refers to the controllers gender! I think the proofreader was asleep on that page, although it is an overall a good read!- Read SHARONM1981's review (81 words)

I got Deception Point by Dan Brown at an airport in Florida to just pass time on the aeroplane. When I got home I couldn't put the book down. This is the first book I have read of Dan Brown's, but I am considering reading his more popular The Da Vinci Code.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good thriller/mystery.- Read Gamo 1k Master's review (71 words)

I found Dan Brown's Deception Point a read in one go affair because frankly I could not put it down for fear of what would happen while I wasn't looking. This is an exciting thriller which is fast paced and quite twisty. Loved it, thank you Dan Brown.- Read paulapcarter's review (53 words)
