    Explorer 8 is great !
    i think people use standards based on other opinions all too often wihtout gaining knowledge on there own!

    i must admit! i switch from explorer 6 back in the day! but with the release of 8! wow i realised how much i missed it.

    The wife upgraded our Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 to 8, god knows why. It's so rubbish, dont even work well on usb internet modems. And dont get me started on all the add ons that dont work or slow your pc right down, and after you install it you have to download more updates for it. Well I downgraded back to IE7 as the wife likes her explorer. As for me firefox is my best.

    I was a beta tester on the rc1 version of ie8 just before general release first impressions were quite good as everything looked fancy and improved microsoft haven't however been able to get rid of all the trash all over the place that nobody ever uses and thus making it no where near as clean/simple as chrome they have also put a compatibility view mode on it which is another absoloute pain yet again useless tech wins over simplicity and useability. Miicrosoft really need to stick to the basics ...
