    The Nikon S710 has decent image quality, lots of features etc but is such a horrible camera to use. I've never experienced such a slow camera, it's astonishingly slow in every function, and highly frustrating. Also, the body shape/balance and slipperiness of the surface makes it awkward to hold; it's a stocky, stubby camera with corners far too sharp for a comfortable grip - the shape is simply wrong! Build quality is appalling, after just 400 images I have a 'lens error' message and an unusable camera. Nikon inevitably blame the user (it's been used exactly the same as the many cameras I've had - & I collect cameras, so I do take care!) so I'm not repairing it or ever buying Nikon again, I'd rather use the money towards another indestructible Sony or Olympus.
