I read the negative reviews about this company and was very worried because I had already ordered my fireplace and needed it to be delivered on time because we're expecting a baby and need the room to be finished. I am not doubting other peoples experience and they do sound really stressful experience but my experience has been totaly different.

I ordered the fire (Henlow Limestone Fireplace, Coronet Arch, Solid Fuel Kit - over £600) on November the 17th 2009. I received confirmation of delivery stating it might be 2-3 weeks. The fire arrived 27th November 2009. Well packed, more than on time and the delivery driver was even very helpful.

All companies must experience problems now and again and the negative reviews show this but it looks like they've tightnend their procedures and no one really puts postive reviews on to average out the figures. I'd order from this company again and would recommend them to family/friends.

Initial delivery was only a week or so late but, after having waited in all day (the delivery arrived just before 5pm), the driver was hesitant to offload the fireplace. Cause: it was broken- and had been when they received it from the previous delivery driver...apparently there is a chain of deliveries, presumably to reduce costs but also, presumably, so that no one can pinpoint responsibility.

For some strange reason the driver had to see whether or not we would accept the fireplace and co ...

I found it difficult to obtain information by website or telephone from this company and their terms and conditions were biased in their favour. I would never reccomend to anybody that they should deal with them.

We ordered a wooden fire surround from Fireplaces Are Us. After waiting 2 weeks we received the item and left it in the hall way for a few days whilst we arranged fitting and continued with the rest of our decorating. Before the fitter arrived we opened the box (which wasn't even sealed to begin with!) only to find a big dent in the front.We called the company, who apologised and arranged for another one to be sent straight out from the manufacturer (as it was before).
