Great boiler, 18 years and still going strong due to its straightforward design and ease of maintenance. Not to say it hasn't had its issues, including the replacement of the control board which is a known problem - easy to have fixed and £50 charged for a recon 'orange' board. Other issues which are age related - flame detector connecting wire insulation cracked (gets hot due to position so drys out over time), not expensive. Spark electrode every 7 ish years - heat and constant sparking takes its toll! Main reason for longevity? Making sure service thoroughly cleans the heat exchamger of ash as it can clog up, and flushing out the drain too (remember to have the inspection rubber replaced on the front inspection/cleaning actionplate every 10 ish years too as it slowly perishes. So overall, really pleased, and really don't get the bad press it has!
