    Good Points: I like the size and functionality of the unit.


    Bad Points: The software to load music is cumberson. The unit can not upload any legally purchased protected music files.


    General comments: I really like the Panasonic SV-SD80 SD Portable MP3 player's size and functionality. The battery life is fairly good. BUT, You can not use any legally purchased protected music on this MP3 player and Panasonic has no intentions of developing a software revision that would allow it. This means, the music you buy off the internet is not usable on this player. This really reduces the usefulness of this player. I am looking to buy a different player for just this reason. $200 wasted...

    Other than the fact that you have to do a lot of updating to your Real one player (and that it requires real one to download to the SD card) the Panasonic SV-SD80 SD Portable Audio Player is a GREAT product. My two favorite points are the Lithium Ion rechargable battery that comes with it and the Protective case with a AAA battery adapter built in.

    I purchased this small wonder after deciding against the SD 85 as it does not come with the protective case. I got home, loaded the software and.... it wouldn't open! (this program has experienced a problem and needs to shut down... or something like that!) i kept trying in vain to no avail.
    I happenned to be one of the misguided who had realplayer on his computer but i did not have realplayer with the panasonic plug in.
    i connected the card to my pc and transferred mp3's to the card but the ...
