Good Points: 1. The identity of the stowaway was not revealed, but thought to be a certain person.
    2. The vulnerbility of someone after the loss of a loved one.
    3. The stages of grief.

Bad Points: 1. The bad cops.
    2. The cop who falls in love with her boss.
    3. The poor revelation of how Benton died and the letter after his death.

General comments: I enjoyed the book very much. I liked the character of Chief Bray, Officers Marino & Anderson. The office thief was expertly planned out. I was glad that Dr. Scarpetta's secretary, Rose, wasn't killed off.
