Absolutely terrible! they are the biggest scammers that I have ever encountered. Very disappointed with the service, the only time that they claimed to never received the DVD was when I cancelled the contract four times. They continued to deduct monies from my account and failed to notify me until I saw my bank statement and logged into outnow and saw a message on my account. I've never written a review before but I feel compelled to say how awful OutNow is, it is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I originally paid for three months DVD service ONLY. They automatically put me on one of their most expensive subscriptions afterwards (not stipulated in the terms and conditions of the package I brought up front). These people are total scum! There is no way of getting in touch with anyone at OutNow, impossible to cancel the account. They charge your account on 15th every month, so, if you want to close the account, you will be losing 2 weeks of DVD rental. No one EVER responds to enquiries! Scammers. Two+ months after cancelling my trial and sending back my disc (with certificate of posting), they started charging again - twice £9.99 in two days. They said the DVD had been lost and refused to give me a statement of its value so I might make an insurance claim from Royal Mail. My credit card company are initiating a chargeback for the 2x £9.99. Www.outnow.co.uk are not responsive to any logic, reasonableness, much less legal requirements. Their contract is all over the... Cancelled or tried to in Jan, they took money from my credit card last week leaving me overdrawn and facing charges with my card issuer.
Customer service were awful and accused me of not cancelling even though I'd not logged onto my account since Jan 22nd. I had 2 discs in 3 months, apparently that is not a good enough reason to cancel.
I've still not received a refund so will be disputing it with my card issuer however I will be left out of pocket by the time all...

I too like so many others purchased a prepaid 3 month subscription thru Groupon but I also upgraded to 2 discs a time for an extra £5. I should not have bothered! Outnow have a terrible choice of films available all of the so called new movies are about a year old, I did try adding some new films but they seem to mysteriously disappear from your list and then the website. I haven't had a film sent to me that is under two years old.
It's really complex to cancel your account, and all the while you are trying to fulfill their criteria they are taking your money. They say it's for 'legal reasons' but it's clearly designed to make it so complicated and full of hassle that people will give up and keep renting.
Customer service is 100% non existent. I sent 4 emails asking them to please NOT send any more discs as I was cancelling, all of which they ignored. And...

I've been with them for a month on a three month deal and I'm already cancelling my account (thanks for your posts about how hard this is going to be!). I joined Outnow for a special deal through a legitimate discount company, and although all other deals Ive bought through this company have been fantastic, I am appalled that they will promote and aide Outnow on their website. Foind disc quality good, but abbilaty to cancell not as easy as they make out froze account and asked theme to cancell as there is no option on website a week later thay took payment just be carefull dont think as lagit as others and service on the low end.

Out Now have got to be the worst DVD rental company going. Their turnaround period is outragious and they don't even have the series of Lost or the remake of V when I searched. The first time I rented from them they sent me two return labels with two different addresses - I had to pay for a phone call to ask Customer Service which was the correct return address. Don't even bother. im just glad i only got a trial discount period because service is shocking, slow delivery, like the dvd comes about a week after the email to say its on its way, they have NEVER sent me the dvds as per my priority list (even though it doesnt say the High ones have delays) and they never acknowledge the dvd's back until about 7 days after I post them either. So at least a 2 week turn around for 1 dvd. All in all a terrible dvd service.

Signed up with outnow on a 3 month package through a website offer, but to be honest, 2 weeks in I am going to cancel. The most interesting thing I have noticed about them is they are all pakistanis and my friend, who is asian, gets far better customer services and communication from them. I had read on other review sites that OutNow.co.uk were pretty decent but from my own personal experience they are utterly appalling.
I've been with Cinemaparadiso.co.uk off and on for about four years and decided to give some of the other rental companies a try. Having tried Blockbuster and disliking their cluttered site I decided to give OutNow.co.uk a try using their 14 day free trial. Boasting 65,000+ DVD's and same day turnaround for discs they seemed really promising, that's right...

Do not sign up. They won't let me cancel and the service was poor. DVDs were badly scratched and wouldn't play.
Warning: I joined through Lidl Movies and its as poor as everyone else says.
I love Lidl, so they should be ashamed to use such a poor company for this service. If I don't get my cancellation confirmed soon, I'm taking legal advice.

What a nightmare Do not under any circumstance even have the free trial with this company.The customer service rep shouted at me for 20 minutes and would not listen to anything I said. I had tried to cancel with them 5 times and the bill just kept increasing without receiving 1 dvd for 5 months. BE WARNED even when you think it's a free trial they will not let you cancel, and send threatening e-mails.I now owe them £63 and can't find a way out without a lengthy court battle. (read more)

Please do not use Out Now, i joined and they are trying to charge me for dvd's they say they have not received back, the company says that you should get proof of postage when you send your discs back. The dvds they sent me were ones at the bottom of my list. Its very difficult to cancel with them and the customer service department people are rude and unhelpful. Basically they're just after your cash and don't seem to care what service they provide, avoid them. (read more)

Made telephone contact and discussed problem with customer services who immediately sorted the problem. Wished I had telephoned earlier.

Out Now has very fast turnaround, easy-to-use website, no limits on rentals each month. I've used many of these DVD Rental services and I find Outnow to be the best at the moment. I'm on the 2 disc unlimited deal and often get 10 rentals a month, with no "fair use" limitations like they have at lovefilm (in my experience, if you start renting too many films with lovefilm, they have ways of slowing things down...).
