Good Points: Cheap < £120, light, nice package

Bad Points: Found it of little use for rat shooting

General comments: I tried one of these recently, thinking that it would be a useful addition to the kit bag for rat shooting. I found that it was not sufficiently illuminating/have sufficient clarity of picture to be useful for rat shooting (small/fast quarry). I cannot claim to have tried it for rabbits (which are larger, have bigger eyes for reflection and do not move so quickly).

If , like me, you are considering one for rat shooting, I'd forget it, spend your money on a good lamp with adjustable brightness control - I can recommend the Deben Tracer Mini Pro - see my published review.

From this experience I would also conclude that the generation 1 night vision scopes will also be pretty useless for ratting (as they use the same technology and have the same magnification (and cost > £450!!!!)).
