This Napa MCD380 portable MP3 player seems to work by pre-reading the MP3 into memory before playing, hence the CD often isn't spinning during tracks. I feel that this unit should really be pre-reading the next track during playback, which would alleviate the long pauses. But that's just my opinion. Otherwise, a very cool concept, executed well.

I dont care about the battery life this machine is a legend. for the price i paid for it £24 i think its unbeatable for sound quality, as long as you dont use the headphones provided and you keep it on normal mode. Bass boost isnt neccessary because the sound is so good, that is as long as you arent some major drum n bass fan, in which case you dont need good sound. If you remember to put it on charge regularly this is an unbeatable mp3 player for the money. I love it but it broke last week because someone threw it. Ive spent the last hour searching for more.
